you know what's funny? I never followed college FB, not my thing at all

but this year right before the bye, I decided it was time to start looking at QBs for our team

that way, I would know them a little bit before draft time
I don't watch it like I did many years ago. I have watched Corral a bunch. I like him but I don't think he is a guarantee. I like Howell some too but not early 1st round. I just can't get the Pickett love but who knows, maybe I am wrong (don't tell Cali that.) Willis has some intriguing qualities but I think he is two years away. I have Corral and Howell highest because they process the quickest.

dad knows more than me about Ridder, Strong and Zappe.

Last years mega hot draft class of qbs hasn’t been quite as advertised. Jones is doing well . Lawrence, Wilson , Lance and fields not so much

None of the last 4 mentioned play would be acceptable here . Not one , I know it and you all know it .

This draft class is being knocked but these guys are projected as high draft picks and mentioned in numerous trade up scenarios and “reach in the draft “ plays

To me they are no different

ive only read or watched clips on most of the QBs

still haven't watched a college game in its entirety since watching Boomer at a U of M game when I was there

I am not ready to write them all off. Some guys need more time or a better situation. Jones had the advantage of BB. Lawrence was hampered by Meyer.

do we even know what he is? saw him briefly once this year
I don't think so. I think Kyle is a great coach but not for a rookie. I think Lance needs a little time. If he has something Kyle will help him. Look what he did for Griffin.

Still need to draft somebody, and if they arent ready to start week one, they can sit behind TH at least.

That’s one reason I advocate also signing somebody like Trubisky in free agency. Chicago has been a mess, his stats arent horrible, and there is at least some potential there.

Have four qbs compete for 3 spots. Keep the rookie, TH and either Allen or “trubisky.”

Yes, but he has gotten zero playing time in buffalo now, and had a mess of a sotuation in chicago.

I work with three rabid Bears fans....

They feel about Trubisky the way you feel about TH... and were thrilled to see him go.

Just sayin

So what you're saying is Carr = a top 40 QB
And he is going to cost top 5 QB money.

But

I actually was advocating Carr this season on the trubisky thread but not at his price tag
and id place him 10-14ish on my QB list for this year likely, earlier than Cuz, but still in the 11-15 range

Can we not go scout and find our own guy to develop? Scouts are paid to find "that guy", so find him, develop him and use your bridge until he is ready.

Well you have to get him . People don’t like Danny and hence trades that make sense are off the table . Look at Matt stafford , he nixed a deal to Washington

The team needs a QB so badly. It is an awful lot to pay. If they want a QB at that price you have to give up something somewhere else (not keep someone(s))

That’s telling, though I wonder what they thought of his coaching staff. Also, when was the last time the bears had a good qb: mcmahon? Cutler?

What do they know about it…?
