Last time I checked the game is 60 minutes long... Same team it took SMU OT to beat...

The committee/media talked up and tried everything they could to push for Alabama and USC to get the last playoff spot.. and what happened? Both teams didn't deserve shit...

Don't forget that at the start of every season, they actually believe every team in the SEC is better than all the teams not in the SEC. And because of that their SOS should get them into the playoff.
A while back I referenced somebody ( agoof?) who said ND would be lucky to 5-7 in the SEC with all the losses coming in conference. In retrospect I wonder who he thought at the time that they would beat. Probably not Texas A& M or Georgia.

Which is precisely how the SOS for all esecpn team is higher that everyone elses constantly. even when there is no basis for it.

Actually, all of them deserved if more than Ole Miss. Why, because none of them lost more than 2 games (other than Alabama which lost 3 games).
Earlier in December SEC fans claimed ND should not have been in.
SOS has some value but not if you don't win the games. Vanderbilt probably could claim a tougher schedule than Boise State, but no way they should be in even with a win over Alabama.

The problem for him is that he thinks his team is better even without any facts other than his opinion. I think he feels that win again Furman put Ole Miss should have put them over the top. Maybe next year they can beat an FCS by 80 and that will put them in the playoffs.
I wonder why Ole Miss did not win the SEC. Oh yeah, they had three losses.

Yeah...was one thing when there were a number of other teams not in conferences. But now pretty much everyone is (or maybe everyone?).
