It's been a pet peeve of mine for a couple of years now.
For such an integral part of a football program's success, It has remained behind the scenes and imune from open debate. Dobson carries a "Coordinator" title yet doesn't get the critique that Beck and Papuchis get.
I've always asked if it is Dobson's Strength and Conditioning process or is it the proverbial "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink"?
Pelini was finally asked about it after practice yesterday and as expected defended Dobson and his process.
Sharp and Benning also spent a good amount of time on it this morning.
I know what Nebraska looked like against other teams physically in the Boyd Epley days, what they looked like under Epley's successor Dave Kennedy (resigned at the end of the HWSNBN era), and now under James Dobson. Since Epley left NU is obviosly not on the same level as the perenial elite teams.
Nebraska's top units (particularly the trenches) haven't passed the eye test in a decade now IMO.
