Doc coming to the Garden tonight. Should be interesting.
I think Danny really enjoys the process of rebuilding more than reloading.
Recent bad moves: Lee, Terry signings, Melo draft
Recent good moves: Bass trade, Sullinger draft, Crawford trade, Clippers deal, Nets Trade, Green Deal
TBD: Kelly O draft, Hiring of Stevens
How many other Celtics fans are ticked off about the Red Sox not just losing Ellsbury but losing him to the SINSTRIPES?
is a polite way of expressing my feelings about it.
Danny took a bunch of hacks, and Paul and subsequently drafted enough players with his mid / late round (and one #5 pick) to end up with the top team in 4 years. He joined in 03/04. Look at 2004 team and 2007/8 team end. He did the transformation in 36 to 48 months. Amazing.
The Stevens move looks really good. This guy knows the game. He won at Butler with players who never got drafted higher than second round. The dude is to composed, Danny is no fool
Is it also true that Stevens has yet to raise his voice? WEEI was talking about it last night. I thought that it couldn't be right, but Stevens is a pretty laid back dude
When dealing with inexperiened players raising your voice too often is a temptation that needs to be resisted. Especially when those players are hustling like ours did last night. I'm glad Stevens is keeping his cool as well as he is.
He now has established a rotation. Now he needs to work on 4th quarter performance. They can run and rebound just fine. 4th qtr is when the cerebrum must be applied.
That said, Crawford has got %$#@@ between his legs.
I think Rondo was expecting he would be coming back to a team desperate for wins and leadership. Thats not the case. These young guys have bought into defense and Brad's style. Should get interesting.
.500 is about what I expected out of us this season. Anybody hear about the Lee/Wallace/Humphries for Zach Randolph trade rumor? Word.
