On another note, I sort of joined up, jumped in here and started getting pissed off- my apologies.

I'm hckyfn15 and I'm a Coyotes fan.

Hope you all are having a better season than I am.

You see that logo under my name?

That should answer your question.

Would I like to see Winnipeg get a NHL team again? Absolutely, but I just don't know how feasible it is with a salary cap in excess of $62 million. Of course, David Thomson owns the MTS Centre and has a boatload of money, but there's very little corporate support in Winnipeg. They would have to be very creative in generating additional revenue streams and even with that, I think the team payroll would be closer to the cap floor than the cap ceiling.

As we all know, the best marketing scheme is a winning hockey team and while there's no guarantee that spending money brings championships, the flipside is that its very rare for a bargain basement team to be successful.

On that note, Don Maloney is a saint. If we are stuck with a different GM, I cannot begin to fathom how terrible the situation would be here.

Winnipeg = Forrest Gump
Jets/Coyotes franchise = Jenny

Jenny leaves Forest even though Forest loves Jenny with everything in that pea brain he's got. You see, Forest isnt fascinating or exotic enough. That and he breaks wind alot. She is away for years and years, travelling the continent, partying up a storm, boozing, drugging, with a circle of people of which only a few truly care for her. The rest are all doing the old pump and dump. Shes looking hot at one party so they show up and show her the love. Then they dont call. A few months will pass and some will come back to hang out but most say they are out of drugs and money or thats she lives too far away and their Pinto exploded so they cant take the interstate to go see her.

when Jenny comes a callin over the years, Forest jumps like a lap dog and begs and pleads that she stays with him ... she never does

so she keeps partying but eventually it all catches up to her and after she pulls it together (and is finally sick of being used and abused) she realizes that there isnt any other option if she wants to be truly loved. The safe place is with Forest

and Forest takes her back

and she has AIDS

the end

That is the best analogy I have heard in a long time.

Don't want you to think I'm singling out the coyotes I just think some teams would serve the progression of the league in more hockey friendly markets.I also would like to see some of the Canadian teams return I get nostalgic when I. Think of certain means like the jets and nordiques as well.

Devils in empty stadiums should not throw pucks. Wait did I do that right? :D

Wisconsin would support a team, definitely. There are a lot of Badger Hockey fans in Madison. The Badgers sell out the Kohl Center, or come close for basically every home game. If you put an NHL arena in the western suburbs of Milwaukee, close to the city, and call them the Wisconsin Wolves, or whatever, they'll do great. I like hockey, I just don't really have an NHL team that I want to support. Blackhawks? Hell no that's Chicago. Minnesota? Hell no I hate Minnesota. Detroit? Mneh, I follow them because I grew up in a GM family, but I can't call myself a true fan.
