something else that T.O. probably had in mind in moving the student section is that many of the older folks are also alumni that make very generous donations to the University and wanted the rowdy students moved up out of sight. I'm sure the move was more for political reasons that outweighed the overall crowd noise factor.

Absolutely......it had everything to do with that.......but also Tom Osborne kept the kids in mind and he made the student section first come first served. I wish it was that way when I was there because I would have been sitting in the 1st row every game.

As for moving the student section out of sight.........it really is just the south student section that is immature. That is where all the freshmen sit and they usually show up wasted and don't know how to act. I saw some of the worst fans in my life sitting in that south section my first year at UNL.
