He signed a 4 year deal pretty late so I don't think taking on the contract would be to appetizing. I think the other guy that stayed out there a long time (Lance Lynn) would make more sense if the Twins don't pick it up. He's on a 1 year deal right now.

I wouldn't give up on Vincent yet. Maybe reduce his role for a few weeks and let him sort himself out. He's given the team two straight solid years.

The best reliever who will soon be on the market is Kelvim Herrerra. He is in his walk year and KC won't pay him what it takes to re-sign him, so he will be gone before July 31st.

The starting pitcher everyone will be linked to at the deadline is probably Cole Hamels. The Rangers will have to be willing to eat some salary and/or significantly contributed to the hefty $6 million buyout for next year's option, but something can and probably will get done there.

If this team is serious about staying in it, they need another starter and another reliever at minimum.

I agree, but we know there won't be. Dipoto will continue to bullshit everyone talking about how close the M's are and needing to "control the zone," but won't improve the starting staff, will grab a few mid tier at best relievers and sub .300 OBP position players, Servais will continue to be a shit manager who's in over his head, and the M's will finish yet another playoff-less season with 75-85 wins and the worst farm in MLB again with no future in the minors.

Amen to that. I'd love to see Seager hit the road. Read an article today where Seager states his problems at the plate were due to the fractured toe he received early on in this season. The fact he's making excuses is all the more reason to cut him loose. Would love to have another "Beltre" type player in his place.

Replace it with what? How about youngsters. That is a QUALITY start.
We can't trade for anything? We should NOT, we should trade away any available talent. (Diaz, Zunino, Segura, Gordon, Haniger.) these guys will get us something better than what we have. Pathetic.
I'm NOT suggesting we trade for vets, I suggest we trade out vets.
