Sign Blackmon and and Jeremy Lane and move on to other positions. We need to look at Safety as there is a gapping hole there. DeAngelo Hall is not enough back there.

Signing Blackmon would be a good practical move. We can then shift the attention to Culliver either cut or re-negotiate his $9.6M 2016 hit.

Blackmon gives us a serviceable #2 CB, and depth in general. With Breeland, Blackmon, Dunbar, Jarrett, we could get by for another year. This team has ALOT of needs. Starting at DT, DE, RB, LG, C, S, ILB. More longer term needs in 2017 and beyond are at WR and CB.

I do not disagree. He was burnt plenty in 2015. There is no denying how many needs we have however. You can only fill so many in one offseason. He is a 1 year stop gap, period.

Our defense was #17 in points allowed, but #25 in pass defense. CB is definitely a need. Culliver was suppose to be the solution but now has 3 knee injuries in 3 years…We could look at Sean Smith from KC, who is 28 years old, 6'3 and 218 lbs. Kansas City was #7 in pass yards allowed and Smith is a former 2nd round draft pick who has really come on strong.

Ideally I'd cut Riley, Roberts, Culliver(save $18M) and sign Sean Smith and Weddle and resign Blackmon. Our defensive backfield would be set for at least 2 years. Then in the draft you can focus on DT, DE, ILB, etc. I'd also look at add a Center or Guard in FA. A wish list item would be a 2nd TE, in Fleener(6'6) from the Colts who has 3 consecutive seasons of 50 catches. Very underrated.

DeAngelo Hall is not enough back there.

And yet from a pure talent aspect. He's better than anyone the Skins have had at safety since ST's death. He He basically only had a half season playing safety last year. Let him get an entire traing camp under his belt giving him a chance to react instead of having to think then react. Some were worried he wouldn't be physical enough, but I don't recall any shying from contact on his part last and really for the last few years. Everybody including Dhll knows he'snot the long term solution and the risk of injury has increased for him as well.

With Cuz makin the money he is next year it will limit what the Skins can do. If they can get a serviceable yea from Dhall at safety it will benefit the Skins. Plus I'm sure positional coaches will have their eye on him. If he's show himself to be too lacking, they can always cut him loose. Right now though or at TC anyway, will be the time to see if he can contribute or be a liability and go from there.

I also think re-signing Blackmon at the right price is asolid move.

They'll probably burnt if he doesn't have to start, but either way. Having Blackmon or not having him won't take the Skins over the top or be the kiss the death either.

Why do we need a LG? Spencer Long played pretty well last season and we have young talent to compete on the roster aLeads.
