Learning how to run a competent 2 minute drill w/o it looking like a Keystone Kops bit sometime in the last 4 years would've been nice.

To be honest, 75% or more of NFL coaches suck in the 2 minute drill. It is possible that Monday morning QB'ing, urgency, deeper scrutiny, poor execution, and second guessing all play a part in such a perceived incompetent level.

I'm willing to bet that this perception affect more teams that are also rans, 500 level, and those teetering on making the play-offs than they are on teams that consistently qualify. This is probably because, there is less scrutiny on what happens in the last 2 minutes for these teams, whereas, for all of the others, so much more is at stake.

So your saying the 2 minute drill struggles are Gruden's fault? They do that preparation for the 2 minute drill during PRACTICE. PRACTICE! It's on the QB to execute, and run the 2 minute offense during a game.

There are things Gruden could improve on. Running the hurry up offense is not one of them, that's on the QB. You really think the 2 minute struggle is fault of the OC/HC?

Two minute struggles the Redskin deal with are on defense. How many times did Kirk march down the field to put us ahead just to have the defense blow it in under 2 minutes. Don't get me wrong... a different play called on offense,,, a better pass to seal a win are all things to improve upon,,, but really, I'm content with how we played in a hurry up offense... just sucked that we scored to fast at times.

I think its a lack of preparation, which is on the coach. I think its poor defensive play in those situations, which is not on the QB. Is the QB held harmless in these situations?? Not at all. But to say, the teams struggles in the 2 minute situation are all on the QB, or even mostly on the QB just shows a bias against....

Lack of preparation? I'm not so sure of that. KC's training/practice/coaching before 2017 on that drill was by Sean McVay during the 2015 and 16' season...so I will respectfully disagree on lack of preparation. Running a good hurry up offense in football is all on the QB's ability to make quick decisions, be sure the other 10 on the field no what the hell is going on, and what to do next. Look, Jack Nicklaus was the best golfer of all time (IMO), but he sucked out of the bunker. Is it possible that KC is just not that good at running a 2-minute offense?...Yes, yes it is.

There are 11 guys on the field. How often have we seen WRs run the wrong route, Linemen miss blocks??

Lack of preparation.... How often have we seen the defense give up the game losing score in the last two minutes.. that sir aint a problem with the QB.

The 2 minute drill on offense is all about calling the plays, and everyone being on the same page. You can once again try and say... its all on the QB. But most rational people realize, thats a coaching fail if there ever was one.
