I'm getting the sense more and more than Kelly stays at Oregon, but we shall see. Also expect Andy Reid to end up with the Cards job

Maybe Reid wanted out of Philadelphia so that he could go back to Kolb, someone he thought would do well in his system and Kolb in turn kept injuring himself to get Wisenhunt canned... just kidding. (First of all, I'm not serious here and also if he wanted Kolb, he could wait for him to be cut depending on who Arizona brought in, if he just won enough in Philadelphia.)

Seriously though, this all this could turn out well for Kolb and maybe Reid, depending on whether he can be successful again in Arizona. Unless Reid really wanted to trade Kolb because he saw something he didn't like - he wouldn't say that if he wanted to get the best value for Kolb. I wonder if Kolb felt he lost the job due to injury when he was there. He certainly didn't play long enough to establish himself - there just was Vick behind him.

Edit: Nevermind about Kolb and injury, I for some reason thought he only started the first game or two and then Vick took over but he actually played quite a bit due to Vick's injuries.

I kinda wanted to see the Bears get ahold of Reid. I certainly didn't want him teaming up with Fitz and Floyd

I am reporting the Cardinals are very close to a deal with Andy Reid to become the team's next head coach. #AZCardinals #Eagles #NFL

Andy Reid
Jim Harbaugh
Jeff Fisher
Pete Carroll

All in one division. Pretty good group of HCs in the WEST division.

I wanted Reid to end up in Buffalo. I'm not a huge Reid fan, but the Cardinals could do much worse. A reason why I don't want to see Reid in the NFCW or even the NFC is because of his ties to so many assistant coaches in the NFL. I've never loved his staff as a whole, but he's always had a couple top shelf assistants on his staff.

I wonder what happens with Marty Mornhinweg? If he's not retained by Philly, does that mean he would automatically follow him? I've always had SOME respect for MM, though I've often wondered who was more responsible for the misuse of LeSean McCoy and the run game in general? Obviously both men have a hand in it, but I've always had trouble figuring out the structure and philosophy as far as that goes.

Chargers to interview Caldwell, Gamble, Keim for GM | UTSanDiego.com

Gamble, son of former Eagles president and GM Harry Gamble, grew up around the game and has a well-rounded portfolio, including experience in pro scouting, college scouting, NFL coaching and contract negotiations, that makes him an intriguing candidate around the league. He is in his 24th NFL season.

I probably need to resign myself to the fact that it'll only be a matter of time before he's gone, but it's hard to come to grips with that. I really, really like Gamble.

Matt Miller:

Sounds more and more like Andy Reid and Tom Heckert to Arizona with Ray Horton staying as DC. Hearing Pat Shurmur as OC potentially.

La Canfora again:

Reid could easily put together staff with guys like Juan Castillo, Pat Shurmur, Brad Childress. Also, Reid could work with Kolb if need be

At this point, I'd be looking for Reid in AZ, Arians in SD, Whisenhunt in BUF. CLE and PHI going after Bill O'Brien

Childress is a douche......didn't call the plays when he was OC in Philly. Reid did. I'll be his OC for much cheaper.

Albert Breer: Andy Reid hasn't interviewed yet with the Cardinals ... Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean a whole lot with a big name guy like this.

Kent Somers: NFL source: #azcardinals have not yet spoken to Andy Reid. Still want it to happen. Plan to interview others.

Probably because they need to satisfy the stupid, racist, liberal-trial-lawyer-assholes-bullying-the-country-with-lawsuits Rooney rule.

It's a rule that seriously needs to be dumped as there really is no reason for it.

I have a tough time believing the rule has lead to more minority hires in the league and a team that already has it's eyes set on a head coach shouldn't have to run out and find a minority to waste time just so they don't get punished by the league.

What's lead to more minorities getting hired is the coaching ranks are filled with more qualified minority head coaching candidates and not some rule that forces teams to interview them.

Sheesh. I've never seen so many solid names being thrown around in ONE offseason for several jobs. I don't like it.

Sean Jensen: Add another strong name to Chargers GM search: Colts granted permission to them to interview exec Tom Telesco
