Does this mean Kolb may stay?
We can only hope.

I thought the article suggested they weren't ready to give up on Kolb just yet, so that adds interest to the Reid possibility.
A former 49ers connection.
Jay Glazer:
Eagles have asked permission to interview Falcons DC Mike Nolan, plan to interview him Friday.
Adam Caplan:
Two high-ranking #NFL personnel execs say Oregon HC Chip Kelly is the clear #1 choice for the Browns.
Kelly would have to be an idiot to go to Cleveland. It's where coaches go to die. And Brandon Weeden is one of the worst QBs in the NFL IMO, and I don't think he's going to get much better. Plus, their front office is a mess. Holmgren was never any good at personell decisions.
If I were Kelly, I'd want to go to the Bears. He'd have a couple of years to get going, and he could build around Cutler.
More from Adam Caplan: Also, 2 GM candidates I spoke to over last week ranked Browns either #1 or #2 for best roster of all projected openings. Like young roster.
Jets talk to Bill Polian about general manager job
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Before the New York Jets hired a search firm to look for a new general manager, the team spoke to former Indianapolis Colts executive Bill Polian, according to a person briefed on the talks between Polian and the organization.
The person, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity, said Polian expressed to the team he wasn't interested in taking the job.
Polian, currently an analyst for ESPN, would neither confirm nor deny he spoke to the Jets about the job when contacted Sunday evening.
If I were Kelly, I'd want to go to the Bears. He'd have a couple of years to get going, and he could build around Cutler.
Really? A search firm? Is that something common?
Come one Woody. Give me 100 dollars I'll give you a list of all the potential GMs you should interview.
Really? A search firm? Is that something common?
Maybe they want to be sure they do a proper criminal background and credit check on any potential GMs.......
I've heard of colleges doing it when it comes to finding a new coach. Not sure how prevalent it is in the pros, though?
