"Ryan will remain as head coach and be paired with a new general manager. His absence in New York this week indicates that Johnson is leading that charge."

The new GM could decide to hire a different coach, right? So keeping him now is smart in that it doesn't burn any bridges in case a new GM wants to keep Ryan? I know they'd have to figure out payment and stuff if Ryan is fired by new GM, but they'd have to do that anyway. Plus, I know they could fire him before the GM comes, it's just not good PR when you've already said he's staying. (Not that anything they have done is good PR.) He can be fired at anytime, but is the expectation that the GM would do a new evaluation of Ryan or do you think having Ryan there is a consideration for any candidate on whether he wants to be there. Do GMs fire coaches or just owners (with GMs input)?

A league source told Adam Schefter that he's "95% certain" that Andy Reid will end up coaching the Cardinals.

Did Schefter repeat this? I know he mentioned it yesterday, but I'm not sure if you're just emphasizing that or if he said it again.

Important for teams interested in #Oregon coach Chip Kelly: He would NOT require total control of football ops to take an NFL job, I'm told

Chiefs president Mark Donovan, formerly with #Eagles, said to be leading coaching search--not Scott Pioli. Bodes well for Andy Reid.

I really hope Reid doesn't go to the Cards.

Andy Reid did not fly to Arizona last night as scheduled.

From @mortreport and me: Chiefs on verge of a deal with Andy Reid. One source said "the major issues have been discussed and agreed upon."

Just Herd that (pun intended). Good news- I don't want him in our division!
