I think the differences between Walton1/Walton2 and Bob1/Bob2 come down to Nature/Nurture. The clay is essentially the same, but circumstance molded the clay differently. Nanette1/Nanette2 had not been separated long enough for there to be a major difference between the two of them, but intern2 grew into himself when societal class was removed and the crew was put under pressure.

but they missed out on good story... Nanette2 was having PTSD nightmares about Bob1...

when she met Bob2, she was already brought back to bob1 and unwilling to give him a chance...

she only killed bob2 in self defense... so she really did not have a a good hero arc...

it was just disappointing that such an amazing story, had a bit of a disappointing end for me... everything felt perfectly written...

the end wasnt bad... and i know by me harping on it it sounds like i am ripping on it...

i do think the end was a little lazy writing...

I liked the Being john malkovich twist... but even that, i wish they did a little more on that too....

I get what you are saying. And my “arguing” is not to say I don’t agree. Just offering some thought-push-back. That’s all.

We both agree it was a stellar episode. Both Callister episodes would have done well as actual theater-release features, imho.
