I hate when we get the early praise. I prefer to sneak up on everyone.

National talking heads are usually idiots. But it's nice to see the Bears listed in so many lists...what scares me is that NOBODY has thought the Lions would even crack into anything. None... As much as we say they suck, they controlled their own destiny last year and blew it...new coaching staff might help cure that for two/three games.
If we can hope the Packers lose to Seattle in the opener. Bears can start on a run- Beat Bills- and 9ers with their suspensions and injuries. Good things Go Bears.

A little surprising the number of nods to Trestman for COY.

That was my initial reaction as well. Unless he knows how to channel some defense and special teams, I don't see COY from Trestman. If he is COY, then it probably means Cutler is in the MVP discussion.

As far as the 15/16 pundits, I hope they're right too. However I am not shocked by this as ESPN has traditionally had boners for teams with great offenses. We happen to have one, which is going to take some getting used to saying since we've bereft of any consistent offense for decades.

I hate to be the one to kill your buzz's, but Trestman is questionable as a HC at best. He is a great OC. He made me throw things at my beloved big screen many times last year.

We'll see. I looked at the Bears' schedule again and it just looks like they could win 7 games or 13.

I just hope the right team shows up for regular season.

I remember the experts were in love with us that pre-season. Jeez.

I recall a couple of big writers saying the Bears were set to be the "next NFL dynasty".

Yeah- I blame Lovie for counting on over the hill OLine that crumbled- and letting the QB position get questioned. Ugh I'm still pissed about that. Not to mention that whole Anointing of Benson and dropping of Thomas Jones- and Brian Greezy... gross! vomit on that whole team/concepts- terrible team management- could have been a different story. So glad with were we are now!

Just read Fox Sports rankings... Bears at 15. They had the Lions at 11, and GB some where near the top. I guess not everyone loves the Bears.

If they go off of our defense last year, we shouldnt be at the top. Frankly no one in our division deserved to win it last year.
