Basketball is in fact the one sport where a single player makes all the diffrence.
One player can make a team go from a lottery team to a deep playoff run.

Easily one player can cause a likely 4-2 series to end up 4-0.
To say otherwise is ignoring the entire history of the game.

The Cavs get swept if Lebron does not play in the finals.

.............

As for the question, the SPURS are the only team with a punchers chance because of their size.
The frontcourt of Leonard, Gasol, Aldridge, and Gay can actually do some serious damage to the Warriors front.
The only possible way to beat the Warriors is to be BIGGER than them....like cleveland in 2016.

The Rockets have 0.0000% chance.
They play the same small uptempo game, but they are worse at it.
They dont have a single advantage over GSW.
Spurs need some help in the back court.....if no one is making Curry work for it he will destroy you. Kyrie sucked at defense but at least he could make Curry work on both sides--- and for some reason Kerr (or whoever) had Curry cover Kyrie a lot...

If Ryan Anderson is on his game he could make some things happen. He just seemed out of shape last season.

Draymond ain't used to covering someone with both size and three-point range...

Facts.

I agree. Rockets have absolutely no chance.

Not true.

Draymond is an excellent perimeter defender and switches onto guards coming off pick and roll exceptionally well. Guarding a player like Ryan Anderson who is nothing more than a spot up shooter is a piece of cake for him.

The issue though, and probably the reason Dray would not actually guard Anderson that much
is because it would take him away from being able to help. KD would be the ideal matchup on Anderson.

Last season, the Warriors destroyed the Rockets offense because they completely took away the Rockets secondary shooters at the 3 point line. Chris Paul will make them harder to defend, but the Warrior counter is more small ball lineups. Can't see the Rockets winning more than 1 of a 7 game playoff series.

My ultimate point here was that if Anderson has a good game, he gives Houston an edge they wouldn't have otherwise had. Ryan had his best game of the season last season against GS and Houston ended up winning, and in the event that Draymond were to switch onto him, Anderson has four inches on him and could shoot right over him, whereas Draymond is a little more accustomed to either post defense or perimeter guys around 6'7", quite a versatile defender...
