the other 11 had kicked out Texas and added SMU or BYU.

Nebraska, A&M, Colorado, OU, and Missouri would have all been happy.

Texas was a monster created by the Big12. Just because they have the state name doesn't mean they have to be a superpower. Look at Ohio University. Texas could be another Ohio University. You should have kicked them to the curb.

Silly analogy. Ohio University is not the flagship school in Ohio, OSU is. It has 3x as many students. With or without the Big 12 for athletics, UT would be the state's flagship university, in the capital, with 50,000 students and a big research budget and everything else.

you cant say kicking texas out would hurt them because they have that "name quality" you just used as a defense for nebraska in another post.....pick a point and stick with it please dont say two different things in different threads unless you want people to think you are a hypocrite

Still don't understand the blame for Texas here.

Mizzou was NEVER happy, they wanted to be in the Big 10. Nebraska was unhappy because they didn't have the power Texas did.

A&M is just being A&M.......if they had any leadership, they could be just as big and powerful as Texas, they all the same advantages and resources. But instead of actually improving themselves, they run away. That's on them.

the Big12 Situation would have never happened if Craig James would have been aborted as a fetus.

NU was unhappy b/c they didn't have the power ANYMORE. NU ruled the 1st 5-6 years of this conference's existence. Once Texas and OU got back to being relevant, along with the former Big 8 schools finally getting at a competitive level, NU became irrelevant. Kind of hilarious how NU's own rules backfired on them, regarding how TV revenue was distributed.

Nebraska had no power from the start. Hence all the 11-1 votes

You do realize all Big 10 schools have a vote each, just like the Big 12 right? NU's vote doesn't count twice. Will the school and its fan base bitch and cry once the conference votes 11-1 not to move the CCG closer to Lincoln?

There is no way Texas A&M could catch Texas in the current format. That is why they are moving. Texas A&M may have years they are better than Texas but they will not be as popular as Texas unless they can distinguish themself in some manner.

Nope, this is the "pain in the ass girlfriend" situation. Texas threw a fit and got what it wants while promising "I'm sorry, just stick around and things will be better." Well, A&M fell for it for a short time, but just like every level headed man saw the writing on the wall. Now A&M is waking up and realizing that it is better off without TU and their tantrums.

In the 80's people said the same in the reverse order. Texas couldn't catch A&M. It is cyclical, so this isn't just A&M trying to get away from big brother.

That is fine. But you stated Nebraska had all the power which was incorrect

LOL at this idiot. There wouldn't be a peep out of Aggieland had the Aggies started their own network 1st. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. Big bro was seen as more valuable by ESPN. There was no writing on the wall. Why didn't you hypocrites bitch and cry about how unfair it was that A&M would be receiving $20M a year from the new contracts, along with UT and OU, while the other schools were going to receive $5M-$6M less?

Nobody ever said that. A&M was an ass hair away from the death penalty b/c of the Sherrill years. The only reason they didn't receive it was b/c SMU just got the death penalty. Darren Lewis was getting paid $2K a week just for watering flowers. Aggies had to do some extreme cheating just to be able to compete in the SWC, however, so did the majority of the conference.

You have no idea what you are talking about. In the 80's Texas was an after thought. A&M was the power house and Texas was the little football brother.

I already explained what happened, the girlfriend routine. Texas held the Big 12 hostage, A&M had nowhere to go so we agreed to stay, and now we have someplace to go.

Enjoy your network that FINALLY got someone to carry it, yet no subscribers. Hope it was worth it.

Face it, the other 11 would be happy if Texas had gotten the boot. Why does everyone have to leave when you could just kick out one person and stop the drama?
