It's an outrage that school mascots are traditionally male or imply masculinity. This is 2016 damn it! We might even end up with the nation's first female president this year. We need mascots that break new ground and also reflect the institutions that use them. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Texas Tech Crack Whores.

I thought the list was pretty close. I would say that if you're gonna bring up the fact that the cyclones should have an alternate mascot to be dressed up like miami the you should give OU some credit for Boomer and Sooner.

While Sooner is an original mascot and representative of the land run it's not the best mascot to try to dress up as and have on your sideline.

Not sure about mascots per se, but that Red Raider riding a jet black quarter horse at break neck speed into the stadium is one of the best entries in CFB. (Unless that sucker fails to make the turn or goes crazy and has to be lassoed.) Also included in the Deep Creek CFB entries hall of fame is Army/Navy March, CU's Ralphie, OU's Sooner Schooner, USC's Traveler, FSU's Chief Oceola, and the Flying Falcons of Air Force and Aubie (I think it is Aubie).
