TCU wasn't the team in week whatever when they lost to Baylor as they are now though.

See?

I actually agree. I think TCU was a better team and had a better overall resume than Baylor...or at least I was buying that line the week prior when they were ranked #3.

:bullshit:

Had TCU taken care of business & not given up 61 points in a loss to Baylor the Frogs would have won the Big XII outright & gotten that 4 spot. So no TCU did not get the shaft.
Ohio State beat a mediocre Wisconsin team and that justified putting them in the playoffs? Okay homer.

This year they should place an asterisk next to the eventual champion.

I'm actually happy that no other team in the Big XII got any love from the committe, I'm simply providing thoughtful, insightful analysis and data.

In the end, the committee was given a gift in tOSU blowing Wisky's doors off. It validated their need to serve the monster ($).

the fact of the matter is the committee didn't recognize tcu as the big 12 champs.

They weren't the Big 12 champs, Baylor was. The way the Big 12 commissioner handled all of this was unprofessional and IMO, he should have been fired immediately. This isn't the first time the Big 12 had co-champs since going to 10 teams. KSU and OU were declared Co-champs in '12, but everybody knew KSU was the real champ b/c they wound up playing in the Fiesta Bowl and OU played in the Cotton. Same scenario, Baylor would have gone to the Fiesta this year and TCU would have gone to a 2nd tier bowl game if this was the old system.

Look at the Bowls that Baylor and TCU are going to play in. That should give you an idea of how desirable either team was to the committee.

I don't know why it's so hard for Ohio State fans to admit that their program's history and name recognition helped them get the 4th seed.

Then unless you have OU or Texas this will continue to be a problem until the Big 12 gets their house in order. There's been a lot of suggestions on this thread about adding teams and having a conference championship game. That's what has to get done if the Big 12 is going to be taken serious in the CFB.

Don't call me a homer. I have been saying all season that I hope the Buckeyes had a good year but were not one of the four best teams in the country. So call someone else a homer.

Just what CFB team you root for? If you say Baylor or TCU I'm gonna laugh my ass off.

If you flip names to Wiscon, Texas, and OU. Big 12 gets in. This is not a referendum on the Big 12 or CCGs, but a continuation of the old process. In almost every case of a team getting the "benefit of the doubt" over another team, it is a team steeped in tradition. Its America, we love our brand names.

imagine all results were as they were this year but only baylor plays tcu last weekend....does baylor then go over osu? or does everyone say they were lucky to come back 61-58 and win against tcu and osu dominated wisconsin?
-------
That Ohio State win was so dominating (and with the 3rd string QB), I believe they (OSU) would still have gotten in.

Tcu and Ohio St. had a common opponent in Big 10 #3 Minnesota. Tcu looked better against them.
