Oh of course. The P5 that still play 4 OOC games have a upper hand because we know they aren’t using that extra game to play anyone worth a damn. Basically everyone gets a near automatic +1 win instead of half the conference taking a loss with the extra conference game.

Personally, I only count BYU as a Power 5 opponent when they play 6 or more games against teams from P-5 conferences and/or Notre Dame. But since the P-5 conferences, themselves, count them as such, I included them here.

I am pretty sure Big XII and Pac 12 have never made such a statement that BYU would count in the same way.
I can find articles about SEC, ACC and Big Ten but none for the other 2.

Some of the kids Washington is recruiting have only had 2 UW wins over Oregon in their lifetime.

None of the kids anybody in the country is recruiting has ever seen Washington beat a ranked OOC opponent in the regular season.

FYI...the Pac-12 also counts BYU as a P5 opponent, as does every other P5 conference.

Also FYI...the Pac-12 is 35-37 against non-Pac-12 P5 opponents in the last 5 years, BYU is 4-6 against those same teams...which is fitting, because a lot of us are wondering if maybe some other teams shouldn't be considered P5...
