If we start to include offenses when talking about ranking a defense we may as well throw in coaches, injuries, SoS, does a team play indoor or outdoor, bad westher...they also have an effect.

So you agree then? To rank a defense you must include the offense stats as well as all the variables I addressed?

This is going to make a stat guys jobs much easier. We really don't need to differentiate offense from defense any more.

19th in yards per game offensively
5th in passing
21st in rushing
10th in first down per game
14th in penalties

not a top five in Any MAJOR statistical category.
