Best team in NFC?

As I've been saying weekly this Division has been a toss up. After this weekend Dallas is still # 1. You are what your record says you are. Seattle has inched closer though at the #2. After that it's a crap shoot.

Which division?

I disagree. I think by the nature of being a rookie, all rookies have a very small sample size and I think they regress towards the average when they get off to a hot start like Elliott has. I think this is seen as "fading" by many. I bet most backs that have 1,000 yards in their first 9 games on average tail off. Just like rookies who are good players and start slow pick it up and just like good NFL players in general that start slow pick it up and the ones that start hot tend to "fade at the end". When you take the first 8 games worth of stats and double it, you usually don't see the same numbers as the actual final stat line. Again, the guy is 21 and weighs 225lbs. IMO He should be able to carry the ball all day long if asked.

It's not just rookie RB's that this happens too. Most rookies hit that wall at about 12 games because they aren't used to playing so much and practicing as much in college like they do when they turn pro. How many games in a college season? 12? (Sorry, I'm a Canuck and I don't follow college football). So by the time they play 12 regular season and 4 preseason NFL games plus training camp, OTAs, and regular weekly practice their bodies and minds aren't used to it. There can be exceptions and if anyone looks like they'll be that exception it is Zeke. That kid and Prescott are looking very fine. I'd be a happy fan if I liked the Cowboys right now.

They do call it the "rookie wall" for a reason. However, Elliott looks like a cut above to me. I would bet on him sustaining his studliness short of injury. Dallas is going to be a tough out.

Dallas widening the gap slightly this week.
Seattle still 2nd after a pitiful performance. But that O has struggled. 3 games without scoring a TD. Then another game they didn't score one till about 2 minutes remaining.
Tough to move anyone else up after games this week. Even if Phi crushes the Pack. Atlanta looked good but that was against the downward spuraling Cards. NO has no D. WA is interesting.
