Pretty good list. Frank Robinson was the only player to make two teams, Vlad almost made two it sounds like. Speaks on how great he was for so long.

Seems like a very good list. I forgot that Manny was originally a right fielder...

and they really failed to build around him properly.

shame.

Yep, they finally started to just before he left Philly. Howard, Utley, Victorino and Hamels came along in his final years and Werth joined the Phillies after Abreu's final season.

Yep...his best years were clearly with the Expos, but he did win an MVP and have a few other all-star years with the Angels.

Salmon's best year however ('95) was probably better than Vlad's MVP year, although Vlad's MVP season was far from his best season.

Oliva was the only choice for the Twins.

If he didn't have knee problems that forced him to move to DH later in his career, he might be in the HOF.

Hell, he should be in the HOF. He's the best pure hitter from Cuba in the history of the game IMO.

Red Sox: Dwight Evans (1972-90)
Key fact: Won eight Gold Glove Awards, the most in Red Sox history
The man known as Dewey throughout Red Sox Nation was a plus-plus defender in right field for the majority of his career. His eight Gold Gloves are a club record. Evans' offense eventually caught up to his defense, as he became one of the most productive hitters of the 1980s. Evans hit 256 homers in that decade, the most of any AL player, and he finished second in RBIs and walks, third in runs and seventh in on-base percentage. He made two World Series appearances, and although Boston lost each series in seven games, Evans came up big in both 1975 and '86. His catch to rob Joe Morgan in Game 6 of the 1975 Fall Classic is one of the most memorable defensive plays in history. Red Sox top 5 >

PS jackie jensen would be in consideration too, had he not been afraid of flying and missed his family.

Love Goldberg from The Mighty Ducks as the catcher. That dude is in terrible shape these days due to drugs.

EDIT: Actually it looks like he's doing quite a bit better as of a couple months ago.
