Phillies fans really took what they had for granted with Bobby Abreu out in RF.
and they really failed to build around him properly.Very underrated player. If he isn't a HOFer, he's one of the best players outside it IMO. Thirteen seasons with 150+ games played, hit .291/.395/.475, stole 400 bases (at a 75.8% rate) and was worth 60.2 WAR.
Had a 139 OPS+ as a Phillie. The only position players ahead of him in WAR during that 9-year span were Bonds, A-Rod, Andruw and Rolen (another underrated player).
and they really failed to build around him properly.
shame.
I agree with the Cardinals. Stan Musial it is.
Haven't clicked the link, just gonna go ahead and assume it's Hank Aaron for the Braves
Pretty good list. Frank Robinson was the only player to make two teams, Vlad almost made two it sounds like. Speaks on how great he was for so long.
Red Sox: Dwight Evans (1972-90)
Love Goldberg from The Mighty Ducks as the catcher. That dude is in terrible shape these days due to drugs.
EDIT: Actually it looks like he's doing quite a bit better as of a couple months ago.
