I'd like to throw out there that ND's bowl game record would be better if we didn't skip out on bowl games for 40 years.
Maybe.

Wow. An Alabama fan comes up with a rating system with Alabama #1. Knock me over with a feather.

Apparently by the disdain dripping from some of your posts in here, you dont think Bama has as good a claim as some of the other teams on the list. Not sure I really give a shit, but just curious who you think is the top team and has an iron clad case for it. I think Bama is as good a choice as any and apparently I and a few others are not the only ones.
Funny how no matter what type of thread it it, it always turns into a Bama or SEC bashing thread.
LOL @ Notre Dame never winning a conference title
Well they certainly would have played in more, but we cannot say for sure they would have won more than they lost or not without them playing them.
I didn't think there was too much Alabama bashing going on.
In my opinion, there is 3 premium, elite, college football programs, and Alabama is one of them. ND, SC, Bama
No doubt, but 11 of our 17 bowl losses came since 95, adding only 2 wins. We were good in bowl games back in the day.
Just one person who seemed to have a dislike for them being chosen by people. I dont think MY team is tops all time, but they rank in the top 3 easily and could lay claim to being tops all time as much as any of the others on the list.

If this chart is right then SC's bowl record is amazing.
SC's a top 3 program for sure. So much history
Not my rating system. No Bama fan would award Ohio State the National Championship in 1961 and 1970 like cfbdatawarehouse does.

I know it's not your rating system. It belongs to another Alabama fan, who has the sense to give Ohio State the titles that were granted to them in 1961 and 1970.
Again, a rating system written by an Alabama fan that puts Alabama #1 means nothing.
I said nothing of the kind. I simply pointed out that rating systems created by fans of the team that they rate are "best" are suspect. I also laugh at Alabama fans who are no emphasising "AP Poll" when for years we were told "Got 12" If you want to address what I say, feel free, don't just act like your under attack because I'm pointing out facts you don't like.
Fair rating system except for the dumbass that thinks Ohio State won titles in 1961 and 1970 not awarded by the AP or UPI. I know most of their fans claim them. Alabama was the unanimous champ in 1961 giving up only 25 points in 11 games. 1961 OSU was tied by a 3-5-2 TCU team. Texas and Nebraska split the title in 1970. OSU is not even in the discussion.

"Fair" by what respect? Looks simplistic and biased to me.
Because you view NFF and Football Writers titles as non-titles, does not mean they were. Those titles were treated the EXACT same as the AP and UPI back then. All got reported in the paper and all were viewed basically the same.
That people are now ignorant of their significance in the past does not mean they weren't significant.
