Easy. Primetime. He had everything you want in a corner.
Shying away from tackling? Not really a great characteristic for a defensive player.

You don't need to tackle if the WR isn't catching the ball, amiright?
Deion is part of the Mike Tyson media hype era where everyone playing every sport was the best ever.Neon Deion will always be an overwhelming favorite because of his big mouth and all the flash. I can think of four corners playing today I'd take over Deion in his prime.

The mid 90's??? Wasn't Tyson in prison at that time?
Rod Woodson was the only one to come close to Deion, and Rod became the what-would've-been of CBs like Bo Jackson was for RBs. Deion is the GOAT, and there really isn't a close #2.
Rod played with the 9ers for one season as well as Deion. Rod did shit for us and Deion was part of our last SB team. Edge to Sanders from the 9er Homer!Well if it isn't Deion, have to go Rod Woodson. But obviously Primetime is the choice. He might of been average that tackling, but was superb in every other category. You can't find another CB with assets or physical abilities he had.
Lester Hayes didn't even make your poll? Pffft….
2× Super Bowl champion (XV, XVIII)
5× Pro Bowl selection (1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984)
1× First-team All-Pro selection (1980)
5× Second-team All-Pro selection (1979, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984)
NFL 1980s All-Decade Team
1980 NFL Defensive Player of the Year
Raiders single season leader in interceptions with 13
The only problem I have will calling Deion the GOAT is that he can't tackle.

I consider 85-95 to be the era where current fans overrate players. Almost every player on every list seems to be from that time period as if players from our youth were magically better at everything than everyone before them and everyone after themThe mid 90's??? Patriots fans aren't allowed to vote, Big Ken. Sorry.
