How do you know he would not made it that far. Everything that was said he would be 4 or 5 round pick. No other team would have taken a chance on him at 34.

I Agree not at 34, but as ESPN came on tonight- they started the show by talking about the two best players in the Whole draft including yesterday's picks. The two - Jack and Smith. They said they thought Jack would go in first 15 picks. Smith- they said his stock had been rising everyday. McShay said 3rd round.

But according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, interest in Smith remains high enough that he will be drafted no later than the third round Friday night. One head coach told Schefter that it's possible Smith will be drafted by the end of Round 1.

Looks like he wasn't going to make it to Saturday. I was shocked as well.
