Tee Higgins listed as out for the game with a hamstring problem. I love Tee, but if he really wants to be paid as a top receiver, he'll need to address whatever the fuck is wrong with his hamstrings.

Kris Jenkins needs surgery on his thumb and is also out. Key player in a thin position.

Bengals should still cruise, but these issues are adding up.

Good luck to the poor team that overpays Tee Higgins.

I'm going to be salty when we watch Yoshi, Charlie Jones, and TI getting all of our receiver snaps and we punt 15 times on Sunday while Burton is wearing ProShop shorts on the sideline.

Or when Burrow helps to make them look like the second coming of Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola....

I love how confident we all are with Joe Burrow - But, lets be honest, the dude needs his weapons. It's true for all of the QBs. Even Mahomes looked pedestrian at times last year with those suspect receivers. And he at least had Kelce.

Brady had Belichick and a HOFer loaded defense. Even in Tampa he had studs everywhere. Mahomes has Andy Reid and Kelce. Burrow without Chase has….Zac Taylor? Lol

It takes a team. Not just a great QB.

This fanbase reflects what our current ownership seems to think. That Burrow can win by himself because they paid him.

New England doesn't look like the underdog so far, we're just getting started though, but the bengals should be dominating the fuck out of these guys.

Getting cooked on the ground. By a team starting Mike Jordan at G. Love to see it.

well, one game does not a season make. the bengals could still figure their shit out.

but again, with the Bengals being unprepared week 1, losing to teams who won't make the playoffs.
This is where coaching comes into play, your players need to be at their best and know what's going on week 1.
how do you not know that your just winging it week 1?

This coaching staff should be fired. Unacceptable. Embarrassing.

This. 100%. The Bengals paid their franchise player and pretend that everything else will break right. In reality, we hit on two top 10 picks (Chase and Burrow), had unprecedented luck with two FA classes, made an inspiring run (with plenty of luck) to the Super Bowl and have now regressed to what we are…… A flawed team with too many questions to be considered a contender at this time.

Ironically, this might be the best offensive line of the Taylor era….. But everything else broke

The fact this team went into a third straight season completely unprepared, uninspired and lifeless is the most Bengals thing ever. 35 years of the same failed philosophies and repeated mistakes blowing up in their faces. Over and over and over again.

Zac Taylor is a clown. I’m done pretending he’s a good coach. Anybody who punts with 2 minutes left rather than letting their “generational” QB control the outcome of a game is a loser. He’ll be here forever though. Cause they almost won it all. That one time.

yea, the defense was like "they gotta put the faith in their defense"

defense was tired. hell, they probably started the game tired.

They put Burrow on a pedestal, then refuse to put the game in his hands when it matters.

The defense couldn’t tackle all day. Only reason it was close is the Patriots stink. Which we all knew going in.

You know, now that I think about it, the fact that Sam Whyche was fired three seasons after winning the AFC and only one losing season after a playoff birth might be the most surprising fact of the Mike Brown era.

But, you're absolutely right. Is there another team in the league with a top 10 QB that punts in that situation? Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Chargers, Niners, Eagles, Dolphins.... Any of them punting? Particularly when you know the run defense is questionable? And you're playing with a rookie punter?
