Well...had he not fumbled it would have worked...
As opposed to last weeks' onside, I actually didn't mind this call. Though, I wonder if they could tell if he was past the 1st down marker, or not, before the fumble?
I have no clue if he was or not.
Would've rather seen a regular offensive play instead of a fake punt there. That rule is really stupid, btw.
It keeps runners who know they're going to be stopped short of the 1st down marker on 4th down from intentionally "fumbling" the ball forward to try to get the 1st down.
