The Broncos are the only team at home that the Bengals play that I don't give them much of a chance in, but as you said, late in the season, cold weather and the Broncos could be looking at 13-1 rolling into Cincinnati with a 1st round bye already wrapped up. That would change things dramatically, especially if the weather were especially bad.

At New England, on Sunday Night Football, coming off the bye week.

A blowout loss in this game is one of the surest bets ever.

I said at home.

Bengals play @NE...vsDen.

It is not that bad when you get it over 30 degrees. He has been better over his last 7 or 8 games when under 40 degrees.

However, when under 30 degrees, he is still:

Games Played < 30 F
•8 games (7 full games), Manning is 2-5 (.400)
•175-285 (61.4%), 1761 yards (6.2), 8/8, 76.7 QB Rating

Now put him on the road against a maybe #3 ranked defense in the NFL, and it makes his numbers even worse. Now that does not mean that the broncos will come out and get shelled here if the temp is under 30 at home of the Bengals. It just means that The Great Peyton Manning comes back down to earth in those situations. We stand a chance is all I am saying. Still I think the Broncos win.

I think right now we lose 4 for sure.

Game 1 against Baltimore IN Baltimore (we just can't win there)
Against NO in NO. Depending on who is healthy and is playing, this could be ugly for us.
Against NE in NE in prime time. That is basically a disaster waiting to happen.
At Home against Denver. Peyton Manning just owns us, and even though I think we have a shot here, I think Manning still edges us out.

That leaves us 12-4. The other two games I have reservations about are the Tampa Bay game and Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. I think we can win those games, but we will have to play well to win both. 12-4 to 10-6 with those two pivotal games being the wildcards that determines if we win 12, 11 or 10 games on the season.

Indy will not be a push over by any means, but I think we can beat them because of our defense.

I think we are better with Jackson as well, because he is going to get his HB's, FB's and TE's more involved in the game plan. He is also going to work on the run more frequently to help open up the passing game, instead of using the passing game to open up the run game so much.

Take some of the pressure off Dalton, don't make him have to carry the team on his shoulders, because he is not that type of QB. He should not be throwing 40 times a game, he should be trowing maybe 30 times a game and mixing in passes to RB's in open space, working the TE's in over the seam when Green opens up the middle. Use the offensive line to create bigger passing lanes instead of bunching everyone together.

I think Hue Jackson actually could make this talented offense get closer to the 5 to 7 rank range in the league.

I don't care how strong your schedule is, if you can have a #3 ranked defense and a #6 ranked offense, you will win enough games to make the playoffs.

Before the season actually starts it is hard to know where we are. New coordinators, questions about Dalton, losses of MJ and Collins, questions abound. What we do know is we still have a roster with above average front line talent, but we don't really know about our depth at this point. We have some new backups on both lines, and we know that getting offensive and defensive linemen through the year unscathed is not likely, so that depth will be tested at some time in the season. I want to say we'll start the season well in Baltimore. We should by all means because I really think the Ravens have taken a step back offensively. But then there's our quarterback. Has Andy ever played well in Baltimore? If he does we can win there. But the Ravens will bring the kitchen sink at him to try and disrupt him, and those tactics have always worked in the past. This game will be a good test to see if Andy is better or not. So no predictions yet. I want to see them play a game for real first. Color me hopeful but apprehensive.

Marvin is 4-7 at Balt, so zero chance is a bit of an exaggeration. He was 4-4 before Dalton though, so you do have a point there.......Steve Smith is a has been.......

Well, I admit I had forgotten about him......we're doomed....

Why does Baltimore have such a problem drafting decent WR's? I do not understand. It has been years. Torrey is an above average WR, but not great. All their talented WR's they have had seem to come from other teams or FA.

You want your 100 million dollatr QB to succeed, put a lot of talent around him. Sac the defense a little bit, and make sure Flacco has all the weapons he can use, and you will rebuild the defense quickly with their eye for defensive talent.

The Ravens are always over-hyped

I don't think we are as strong as we were last season in some areas, but maybe we can tie.
