I get the feeling we're going to be in 3rd place for a long long time.

Peppers would be terrific if he played for a coaching staff that would think outside of the box when utilizing him.

Here? We'd make him a garden-variety cover-2 safety and probably wouldn't even let him return punts.

I just don't like Peppers. For such a playmaker, the guy has 1 career INT

I like Peppers and think he'll have a good NFL career but I wouldn't use a top 10 pick on him. He should go somewhere in the teens. 9s too early for a LBer/DB tweener.
Gregg Williams got hired as the DC in Cleveland. There's going to be much dirtier play in the division than Burfict's

I think Peppers will be a good player, but I don't think he will be special because he doesn't have ball skills. Hooker and Adams have those special skills. Peppers doesn't/.

Decastro and Mitchell are two of the dirtiest players in the league - But this doesn't get mentioned.

If I had to guess on the pick right now I'd say one of: Mike Williams WR Clemson, Derek Barnett DE Tennessee, Corey Davis WR Western Michigan, Malik McDowell DE MSU, Tim Williams DE Alabama.

I don't know much about any of the prospects.... But I've seen Mike Williams play and I think he's going to be a good one. I've also seen a little of Barnett from Tennessee and he looks like a beast. Don't have much of an idea about the other guys.

It would be awesome to get Williams.

I'd love to see him and Green line up on the outside with Boyd in the slot..... Eifert at tight end.

Hand the ball to Jeremy Hill and watch one of those magical 2 yard runs. Who-Dey!

I doubt Peppers actually goes top 10. Matt Miller has talked to several scouts who say he's a late 1st round pick because he isn't a good safety and is to small to play LB

We could use a bit smaller LB who can cover and blitz the QB. I would take Peppers and covert him to LB to replace Dansby.

You still have Dunlap, Atkins, Billings, Johnson/Clarke/Drago to provide blocking for a fast LB to make plays. Plus, I am getting sick and tired of not being able to cover TE's with our LBs.

#1 - Peppers, LB, MICH
#2 - Wilson, CB, FSU
#3 - Samuel, WR, OSU

We can also use a true RT and a new dang Center. Rush DE wouldn't be bad either, but I am comfortable with our current guys for the most part on the DL.

Peppers would be totally wasted here. We don't need another project guy. Whoever gets picked needs to be an impact guy who can plug in and play from day 1. If they go LB, it had better be Foster or Cunningham.

I think it's pretty clear that Nick Vigil is playing SAM next season. PG basically admitted as much in an interview with Hobs. As good as Peppers would be in coverage as a linebacker, he would probably be a huge liability against the run. I just can't see his small size holding up at that position. If he did play here, I think he would be a safety..... And that would be wasted as our safeties basically play 2-deep on most sets.

I think we'll start Vinny Rey, Burfict and Vigil at linebacker next year. I think Rey M will finally be gone (he barely played this season) and Dansbury won't be re-signed. There will be a few other young guys in the mix.

I'm willing to give Vigil a chance. Seems to have nose for the football. Good instincts.

It's long past time for Maualuga to be out of here. If there was ever a player more encompassing of the Marvin Lewis era, it's that guy. Hung around for years as a starter, and was never more than mediocre.

round 1 we pick OT Robinson.

of course, I probably sound like a broken record, only I'm typing, and not really saying anything.
Just picture Forrest Gump talking about Shrimp boating, and then casually mentioning that we need to plan for Andrew Whitworth's retirement party.

Did you guys see what Brandon Tate did in the season finale against the Jets? He and the other return guy watched the kickoff bounce short and roll into the end zone, while a Jet player picked it up for a touchdown.
I can't believe he never did that in Cincinnati.
