Wasn't on here really to comment on the draft, but i haven't been this excited afterwards in a long time. We got talent and value with every pick.

Still kind of pissed we let the Steelers grab DeCastro, but Zeitler will be a nice consolation. I'm a little iffy on the Kirkpatrick pick..really would have liked a man-to-man guy who can fly with some of the faster WR. No question the kid can tackle and thump people though.

My favorite picks by far are the Still and Mohamed Sanu picks. Still will end up being the best DT on the roster IMO, if he can be consistent. Watched him wreck people at Penn State. Can't believe he fell to us. Sanu isn't flashy, but is kind of a gadget or all trades. He's the all-time leading receptions leader for the Big East. Finally got a #2 worth a shit.

Dan Patrick grew up in this area. I am sure he doesn't like Defict because of our past reputation and taking these knuckleheads. Difference between then and now though...our roster is solid enough to not have to reach to take off field issue talent with higher draft picks, but we have the luxury of taking them late rounds or free agency. Can't make everyone happy, but it is a big improvement in our drafting philosophy now. He was a first round talent, with a dime store head. We will see if this experience humbles him enough to make him work harder and keep his nose clean. If it does, we have a steal, if not, easy to cut ties without any real basklash.
