5.5% of Americans smoke marijuana. so around 1/6 of the people who have ever tried it stick with it. anyhow...

your claim is unjustified, and I said there wasn't really anything wrong with smoking it, but I would probably stay away from it if I were a serious athlete, just as I would stay away from cigarettes.

there also appears to be drug testing in the NFL
Insider's Perspective on NFL Drug Tests | Bleacher Report

so 'probably' not.

The players that make up the league do not fit the standards of the general population on a large number of demographics. My claim is hardly unjustified, when former players have estimated MUCH higher numbers.

Brown: At least 50 percent of NFL players smoke pot - NFL.com

LOL! @ drug testing. The players know how to beat it. They also know they're in the clear after their one in-season test.

So, yes, 'probably.'

hey, a past his prime CB is willing to play Safety, this could be just the thing for us.

Champ Bailey open to playing safety for new team - NFL.com

actually... I thought he was still pretty good. but he had injuries in 2013.

He fits the profile. Former first rounder that either didn't round into form or is past their prime (with Champ it's obviously the latter). And our fans can drool about his potential at safety.

Sign him up!!

P.S. Marvin must have coached him in Washington for one year, right?

just depends on his physical condition.

if he's in great shape someone with deep pockets will sign him, if he's iffy, we'll be a candidate.

We all know someone will try and sign Rey, he'll leave and we'll be stuck with shitty Rey M

Hey guys.. Us Skins fans are looking at possible FA ILBs. I don't know much about Rey, but I read somewhere that he should have been the starter, even after Mauluga came back. Would you agree with that?? Is he starting caliber ILB?? Admittedly, I know little about the guy.

He's better than Rey M., but that's not saying much.

Vinnie Rey is great in pass coverage. Great ST's.

Hey, Bengaldoug....what were Vinnie Rey's PFF grades last season?

Rey was a solid +6.3 in 348 snaps, including 200 snaps in pass defense with a +3.2 rating. He was targeted 35 times in those snaps, with two picks and yielded only 6.6 ypa. He only yielded a 51.0 qbr in pass defense.

Rey also had 4 sacks in only 31 pass rush snaps. He ranked in the top ten of all inside backers in only 348 snaps. We really need to re-sign this guy.

I hope they're able to keep Hawkins. He got tendered with a ridiculously low amount. I'd be surprised if some team doesn't give him a legitimate offer sheet. The Redskins have tons of cap space, a need at WR, and I'm sure they could use a skill player familiar with Gruden's offense. He's been underutilized the past couple seasons. Partially because of the depth at WR here.

I'd like to keep both players, but if I had to make a choice I'd rather cut Whitworth and re-sign Collins. The youth, the injury history and his play last season make him the more valuable player
