If you don't understand the difference between MVP Manning, and the Manning that has suited up the last 2 years, then no wonder you think that getting Sanchez in here would have minimal impact at the QB position.sigh.
so now Dalton is better than Peyton Manning. ok. fine. I guess now that Manning is retired Dalton is pretty much better. he's also better than all the other QBs who have either retired or died, unless any of them are planning to come out of retirement, then I can't comment on those. for the record I am not saying that the qbs who have died are going to come out of retirement. in case my former english teacher ir reading this.
No one is saying that Dalton will ever be on the same level as MVP Manning. That wasn't the Manning that showed up last year (or really the year before).
Dalton is what he is, but he's not nearly as bad as many try and make him out to be. He's been a very solid QB, especially in the regular season. Yes, his playoffs have been sub-par (putting it nicely), but there have been some playoff games where other players have made the biggest "oops" plays. AJ should have had a TD in year 1 against Houston (I think it was), and has other games he's just gone MIA. Bernard had a killer fumble against SD. Hill's fumble last year, sans Dalton of course, killed that game as well as the penalties that followed on defense.
Dalton has had his share of playoff failure, but it's not like the team around him has rallied around him to help this team win, either. Each section has done its part to lose games.
