But what if you’re 32 and chubby?

What if he is 32 and his jersey literally hangs in the rafters at Houston strip clubs after he dropped seven figures in bills on the floor?

This man is the GOAT of strip clubs. He has lived those 32 years fellas.

I probably wouldn’t trade for a guy that is in the strip club HOF

thing with harden is he doesn't rely on athleticism. Those are the guys i worry about.

Durant and Curry are doing just fine
Is Curry doing just fine though? KD can't stay healthy. Etc

The deal can’t be straight up anyway.

Yoyre asking brook to add at least 10m to its luxury tax payments

You gotta make it worth their while to take an inferior player and pay more money

Why would Brooklyn be paying more in luxury tax in this trade? Simmons makes less than Harden. He makes a shit ton less than what Harden will make next year.

Iirc You need to add 2.5m to the trade to make it

Whoever takes up that money is going to cost like 5x that.

The trade i proposed earlier is more than fair.

It’s still getting harden at a discount

Simmons/Green is a wash and Green has a non-guaranteed year next year if they want to move on from him.

What was your trade offer?

I would prefer 1 but I could probably learn to accept 2.

I could probably be talked about of bassey.

I added him because

1) there’s rumbles off the nets shopping claxton for future tax savings; and

2) I had a first roundish grade on bassey

Bassey has the upside of being a guy that could stick around the league for a while, giving fouls and minutes in the regular season.

He’s not going anywhere

Seems that way.

I think Portland and wash should blow it up, but neither will.

Simmons is a terrible fit for the Washington roster right now

But if they blow it up it may not matter.

Because the better player is 32 years old?

Nets have now lost 8 straight now by the way. I am starting to really think a trade of some kind might happen.

I doubt. KD wants Harden there if they trade him that jeopardizes his future in BKN. That is the last thing they want. But if they did trade the 76ers would likely have to include 1 or 2 picks

I think you are putting a lot of faith in a blind quote from Woj that KD wants Harden there. Doesn't seem like Harden wants to be there.

If the Sixers trade Simmons to the Hawks or Kings or some other team, the Nets could find their return for Harden to be much worse in the summer. FTR he's getting paid 200 million on a 4 year extension. If they want to keep him, that's one thing. But if they want to move him then a sign and trade becomes problematic because it almost certainly hard caps the team that acquires Harden. And if they extend and trade him, then the trade team needs to come up with 45 million salary.

Like I said, I question whether bringing Harden in is the right move. But I think some of you are completely ignoring the reality the Nets are facing in the off season.
