Drummond I can see not caring

but you don't think Curry has a right to be pissed off at thin-skinned Simmons?

I don’t think Curry is the type of person to hold a grudge.

As long as Simmons does his job on the court and Brooklyn and as long as he is accepted by KD and Kyrie, I expect Curry to fall right in line.

Curry is a pro and an adult.

I am sure Harden and Embiid can theoretically
work together.

But look at Harden’s track record.

He has played with some of the very best in the league over the past few years. He has played with CP3, Russ, KD and Kyrie.

3 of those players have been in MVP conversations within a year of them teaming with Harden.

None of them could stand Harden by the time their time together was up.

There is a reason. He is a shitty teammate and his play style is extremely difficult for other stars to play with.

6er fans expecting this paring to work are not looking very closely at Harden’s past.
Are there any articles on Harden being unhappy or a bad teammate while Morey was GM of the Rockets?

No, I don't think so. I think he liked Morey and became dissatisfied there after he left.
And I think it is very telling that Morey probably would not have made this deal if Harden would not have agreed to opt in to next season.

As far as the bad teammate stuff, well, we're kind of desensitized to public opinion around here......

Chris Paul and Russ both hated playing with him.

Morey clearly took Harden’s side when he shipped CP3.

But the last 2 years has demonstrated pretty clearly that CP3 was not the reason that partnership didn’t work out.

It didn’t work because CP wanted accountability from Harden and Harden was not willing to be held accountable.

Let’s see how that plays out in Philly.

3 PG didn't like playing together????

I would absolutely respect Chris Paul's opinion.
Russ? Not so much.....

Say what you want about Russ but he puts in the work and doesn’t respect those who don’t.

I'm feeling much better about the trade now.
You shouldn't be feeling that way:

- Harden and Maxey don't fit well together
- Harden and Embiid both need the ball to go through them
- Harden is clearly on the backside of his career
- Embiid will likely revert back to his old diet of bacon cheeseburgers
- A meteor will hit Philly as ground zero

You should be miserable. Absolutely miserable.

You're welcome.

You forgot about the Philly strip clubs for Harden and Shirley Temples for Embiid......

This could go either way for both the Nets and the Sixers.
Both Harden and Simmons add elite talent to a team, but they also add a kind of intangible stage 2 cancer.
It could go fine or it could go downhill fast.
Kyrie isn't much different.

Pick your hero and root for him.
Pick your villian and hope he crashes.
The NBA is half sports and half drama...and pretty good at both.

Hold on. Where are you getting that KD or Kyrie can't stand Harden? Hell where are you getting that Russ or CP3 couldn't stand him?

What I recall is that it was Harden being a diva that forced CP3 out. Russ and Harden would NEVER work.

I said this earlier. I'll say it again. If Harden was actually healthy for the playoffs last year, you really think they don't win the title? If CP3 doesn't injured against the Kings in the 17-18 season, do you think they lose to the Warriors?

Harden is moody for sure. And if Embiid suffers an extended injury I think it is entirely possible that Harden will throw another tantrum and demand a trade to a different contender. But let's not invent issues for him.

From what I read, it wasn’t so much CP3’s message, it’s the way he conveys the message. Apparently, Harden and CP3 went south when CP3 started to raz Harden daily on his weight and his playing shape by calling him Man Boobs all the time in front of teammates. Does Harden have to let that roll off his back? Sure. But at the same time, why is CP3 running him down in front of teammates? Doesn’t make a lot of sense. Doc Rivers just commented on this the other night in lead up to Suns Sixers. He was saying that when he had CP3 and when the Rockets had CP3 that they wouldn’t let him lead and be the man. Doc didn’t say this but I think a lot of that has to do with CP3’s style of leadership. That style doesn’t work with peers. But it can work with a young team like Phoenix where the pieces had never done anything before CP3 walked through the door. Leaders can only lead when others have a willingness to follow.
