I don't neccesarily think Harden is a huge get. Yes they are contenders without a doubt but off waiting till the offseason and getting a true fit, possibly a bit younger and not a drama queen.

Whether Harden is the right get is certainly up for discussion. Getting him now and giving up the farm makes no sense. Daryl Morey is not Isiah Thomas.

This guy did not get a scoop. This is an obvious trade which benefits both teams. Now if only the Nets could get that nut Irving to get his shots
Agree, this looks like a win-win for both clubs on paper

Because giving up all of your assets plus significant contributors for Harden makes the team worse.

Except you can get him and keep Harris and Green. Whereas signing him outright costs you both.

But it almost certainly guarantees the Sixers WON'T be a title contender this year.

Which is what happens if the sixers drag this out to this summer

If they give up Curry and Thybulle they won't be winning a title this year.

Speculation is that he won’t need to.

NY Governor is already lifting indoor mask mandates. Common thinking is that vaccine mandate likely to be gone by May.
I hope its warranted and not just politically motivated.

And if you give up Harris and green this summer you aren’t winning next year

Green is irrelevant. Harris is a different issue. But I would have to see who we get in return.

Everyone said that the Horford contract was an albatross and Morey got Green in return for that.

Interesting quote you have there about originalism. I would say the current interpretation of the 2nd Amendment is an example of ignoring originalism if I understand the definition correctly

I would be willing to trade just Curry. I am NOT willing to trade Thybulle as well.

That’s fine. I still think you all are getting up laughably easy even if you did give up both

Looks like this trade is going to happen. I think it took both teams literally not having much to lose.

Why is that? Because the Sixers will be "allowed" to pay 32 Harden 200+ million for the next 4 years?

This reminds me so much of when Carmelo wanted to go the Knicks. And the Knicks, rather than just waiting, decided to give up the farm for him. Didn't really work out as planned for them.

You have Windhorst saying that Harden desperately wants to play in Philly. If the deal doesn't happen tomorrow, Harden is 99% leaving in the summer.
