On a positive for the Sixers......Maxey rated the 5th best prospect under the age of 24.

I think you guys gotta get wood for that deal to happen.

Getting wood house and Gordon isn’t awful

It’s not ideal. But wood is a good fit with embiid. House is that 3 and d wing type player and Gordon can shoot.

That’s why I don’t see a match with Houston. Wood is the best player available but also not a fit because of Tobias Harris at the 4 and Embiid at the 5. They need a wing or combo guard that can get his own shot and is competitive (37% or better) from 3.

If they have something lined up to move Tobias Harris for more pieces I’m on board but that’s a difficult contract to deal.

At this point.....the Sixers don't hold the cards in this.

And they need to get talent back to replace a player who isn't playing.
Not really. The underwhelming deal will always be out there. They don’t need to be in a rush to take a bad deal when it’s always gonna be out there.

I know you and I disagree on Harris. I’m fine playing him at the 3 at times.

He’s going to be a spot up 3 wing and he can do that.

Can he do it? Maybe. But you aren’t getting his best game. They tried that role for him and it was a mess. The biggest issue is his cover. At the 4 he’s a relatively quick player and average defender. When he has to match up with wings he’s a liability. I’m not averse to parting with Harris. It’s a tough contract to trade.

I don't believe for a second that Simmons is broke. That sounds like disinformation to me.

Sounds like he has a cash flow problem because he spends so much money

I find it very believable that he is broke. When the NFL went on strike players were taking high interest loan shark deals to meet their needs.
