I know Bradley is like all time great in the field but that guy, sans one season, was just a brutal AB
Oh, he was just awful to watch at the plate. He certainly played great CF, but I am happy to move on from him. I’ve seen enough of that routine.

Move kind of implies Dayton Moore thinks the Royals can contend in 2022. Not sure if I could agree with that, but there's something watchable in the works with the pitching staff.

Not sure how new ownership will conduct itself, but this is a good move.

Guys that can flip a game on the base paths. Not many of them left. Mookie won World Series games with shit he did with his legs

I met Mookie at a few baseball clinics, he has to be related to Mickey Rivers.....

Indians tossed in the towel on this season, White Sox and Twins will be a handful but not exactly murderers row at least

Yeah, but the Royals were in the midst of a ground-zero rebuild. Gonna need a lot of arms to take a jump to pass those teams even with Benintendi. 2022 is interesting now I think. Lineup is just too unreliable top to bottom to have much faith in passing those teams, and their projections back that up, imo.

Some hope, but faint.

The stolen base is almost obsolete now. It’s too bad. Remember when Vince Coleman and Rickey Henderson were stealing 100 bases every year?? I doubt we see even 70 again.

Lotta Mets talk with JBJ

makes sense, they put together a nice lineup, could probably afford his bat, and him and Lindor up the middle is pretty sweet

If anybody could steal 70 in MLB right now, it'd probably be Mondesi if he could kinda get on base once in a blue moon... speaking of white whales and potential...

Think Billy Hamilton may have been in the 70’s, but doubt we see that again, it’s more analytics than ability now. Bunting and SBs are like the biggest analytics no no’s

I think the Mets are the last team even kicking the tires on JBJ. Since they whiffed on Springer...and didn’t get Bauer, I would bet the Mets are a lock.

Unfortunately, JBJ is a Boras guy and he’s trying to get him something like 5 years in this market. Good luck.

Mondesi would he a good bet. The Royals still like to run and play some small-ball, too. Not many teams still doing that.

Do you want to guess who the last guy to steal 70 bases in each league was???

AL-Ellsbury in 2009...and Brian Hunter in 1997 before that!

NL-Jose Reyes in 2007

We’re old, man. It used to be rare that guys would strike out 100 times in a season. Now the whole Yankees lineup does that.

Another shitty analytic thing that’s ruined the game, the strikeout or HR recipe is a good thing

yankee problem in a nutshell- most analytical team in baseball apparently, but what works over 162, does not work in a short postseason series

100%. And it happens to them every year in the playoffs, it seems. They have 7 guys that are trying to hit a HR every time up. When those bats go quiet, it’s a looooong wait for the 3-run homer.

So much bad pitching in the AL, you know what they do to the o’s or Jays staffs over 19 games per? Demolition. That’s why they are a virtual lock for October every year. Than the elite pitching arrives

TB doesn’t have the names or star power, but contact and situational hitting, they are more suited for October
