Belichick told reporters today that his intention is to "absolutely" be with the Patriots in 2018.
because of whats going on internally.Since he can't do that, why would he leave?
This is just confusing now.because of whats going on internally.
an old college roommate of mine works for WCVB in the sports dept. used to do traffic, moved to sports about a year ago. he texted me recently...gave me the heads up on matt patricia leaving for detroit (posted over the weekend). he says the insiders there say this pats shit is 75% true, and its all on brady.
kraft did force bills hand on jimmy, and bill was not happy. that WAS his going away present to the pats. the next guy.
bill doesnt want to leave the franchise in ruins like parcells did, who, if you recall, couldnt "shop for the groceries". this is history repeating itself. he may be here in 2018, but not beyond.
i believe my guy.
you didnt read it correctly. This is just confusing now.
1. You said Bill doesn't want to leave the franchise in ruins like Parcells did, so this is history repeating itself. Well if Bill doesn't want to do what Parcells did, then why would he do exactly what Parcells did and leave?
2. Okay well now you are pushing the year back. I can be right too if I just keep pushing it back. You said 2017 would be the last year of Brady and maybe Belichick. Now you are saying 2018 will be the latest it could go. Next year are you going to say 2019? I mean, you'll be right eventually obviously but that really isn't saying much.
Okay so you didn't say that 2017 would be the last year for Brady or 2017 would be the last year for Belichick?you didnt read it correctly.
1 - he isnt leaving THIS year. next. hes got guys he wants to draft. theyre high on mayfield from what i hear, tho i doubt he lasts. i would NOT be shocked if they traded up this year. he wanted to leave after this season, but cant now...see my parcells reasoning.
now hes here for next year, now that jimmys gone.
2 - im not pushing anything back. i said this offseason is the beginning of the end, and it is. i provided no specifics other than its tom or bill to be the first to go.
not entirely, there is context. people here can back me up. ive been on this for a long time.Okay so you didn't say that 2017 would be the last year for Brady or 2017 would be the last year for Belichick?
I read "Bill's gone this year" to mean that he is gone after this season is over. Not to mean he's gone after the 2018 season is over.i said if they didnt trade jimmy, 2017 was the end for brady here. they traded jimmy, and it affected both people moving on. bill and tom.
thats why this is such a mess. its all about jimmy and people wanting to move on.
no, its 2018.I read "Bill's gone this year" to mean that he is gone after this season is over. Not to mean he's gone after the 2018 season is over.
Belichick told reporters today that his intention is to "absolutely" be with the Patriots in 2018.
Well he didn't say anything about 2018. He was asked the question if he expected to be the coach of the New England Patriots next year, to which he replied "Absolutely".Do notice that he didn't say anything past 2018...
Trying to keep people guessing as always.
Brady and Kraft are too close. Brady isn't going anywhere unless he retires which I doubt happens after this season. If they win the S (maybe) just maybe he retires.you didnt read it correctly.

thats what he texted me. 75% true.Brady and Kraft are too close. Brady isn't going anywhere unless he retires which I doubt happens after this season. If they win the S (maybe) just maybe he retires.
I don't believe BB is going anywhere either. Nor do I believe BB really cares what condition he leaves the Pats in. Especially if the reports are true about the Jimmy G fiasco. Bill would make a deal with the devil to win another ring if he knew it was his last season.
As to 75% of the rumors coming out of the Patriots inner sanctums I'm sure that number is lower.
Wouldn't a Bill/Brady shouting match be nearly impossible to keep quiet?thats what he texted me. 75% true.
i believe my guy. hes solid. now, granted...this is all based on people in that news room that have inside access, and see shit a lot of people dont know about. i try and take it all with a grain of salt, but this guys been more right than wrong since he moved from traffic to sports a year ago (his thing is sports).
did we ever hear about a shouting match between bill and brady a week before jimmy was dealt, inside Gillette? no. but thats what im told by my source. i wont post shit like that without a link to satisfy people, but this is what i hear.
and that shouting match was over bradys belief that if they kept jimmy, brady would be traded.
again, just my source. take it as you will.
nope. depends on who saw it or heard about it. i guarantee you there are fights in that locker room we never hear about (physical or other).Wouldn't a Bill/Brady shouting match be nearly impossible to keep quiet?
But if your source has this story, why wouldn't he tell it?nope. depends on who saw it or heard about it. i guarantee you there are fights in that locker room we never hear about (physical or other).
its why this story from espn was such a big deal, because it gave inside gossip for the first time in this patriots era.
never saw anything like that before. ive been watching this team since 1984. never seen a story like this, period.
because it could cost him his job? theres protocol. But if your source has this story, why wouldn't he tell it?
I'm not disputing there have likely been some disagreements. What I'm doubting is the hype, the way people are portraying what and how it was said (you know context) and the intensity that has been reported. Hell even with your family you have disagreements after 18 years of being together.thats what he texted me. 75% true.

A news source has a story about a shouting match between Brady and Belichick where Brady was upset because he thought he was going to be traded, and you get fired for running it? That's crazy to me. That would sell like hot cakes.because it could cost him his job? theres protocol.
It would cost him his job if he was reporting unconfirmed media hype.because it could cost him his job? theres protocol.
