I find it very skunky, but that's personal taste. I think Heineken is skunky, too.

I think that’s the bottles.

Heineken Light used to be my go to and I’d often get a skunky 6 pack. Then they introduced the cans and no more skunk.

Much like screw caps on wines, the beer can has a bad reputation from the past, but these days is the superior closure/containment method.

Understand. I'm the same way with Bud Light.

For a few months about 10 years ago, I switched from Bud to Bud Light to lose weight. OK, so each beer was about 1/3 fewer calories, but the beer is so unsatisfying that I ended up drinking twice as much. Hence, I was putting down more calories, not less.

I drink less beer now, but it's craft beer so I enjoy it more anyway.

Great Lakes Brewery is badass.

Been doing the craft beer thing since long before it was hip. 1989.

This pic that I often use as an avi is from their Burning River Pale Ale label.

Used to drink keystone, miller light, and even zima some in high school and college but now all can really do is craft beer for the most part - usually IPA's or Ambers.

One of the best beers I ever had was at the Revolver brewery called Land Grab. Been trying to find somewhere to buy it ever since but its only seasonal and I think it may have even been discontinued.

Only memorable thingabout my trip to Orange County was this beer.

It sounds awful but its really good.

My favorite beer is Shiner Cheer. Sucks because they only sell it for 2 months of the year.

Rice does not belong in a list of beer ingredients. That's the problem with Bud products.

Budweiser used to be great. I liked it at least

You should try the "original" Budweiser, not just a beer with a stolen name.

You won't find it in North America under the Budweiser name as a result of a massive lawsuit between the two breweries over the name. It's a long story but suffices to say, Budvar can't use the name Budweiser in North America and Anheuiser Busch can't use Budweiser in Europe. There, they had to shorten it to "Bud". This is why they don't export it to NA. You may find a beer from the same brewery called Chechvar. I've tried it here and it's damned good.

Really? Sorry to hear that.
Is that for true?

I used to drink a lot of that too. Particularly when I went on a last minute camp out and had no cooler - I’d decided that Rocks tasted better than other beers when slightly warm.

From the glass lined tanks of Old Latrobe brewery, we tender this premium beer for your enjoyment as a tribute to your good taste...
They haven't brewed at Latrobe since '06.

As far as changing the recipe goes, I don't know 100% for certain that they did, but I think it tastes different than what I remember, and InBev was notorious for changing recipes to make the beer cheaper and inflate their margins.

Lately been Goose Island IPA, Sierra Nevada PA, Guinness, Highland Oatmeal Porter. The generic is Bud Light. If you can get hold of some Dan's Pale Ale, that's also good. I typically buy the 15.99 one that's on sale.
