Frist off I have to go a little Billy Bob and rate it a Fucking 10! a Fucking 10! it was hot, tropical, and fucking sexy as hell.

During the times ESPN was panning to Tom Osborne I was looking for a headset! I just have to hope Beck continues this trend when they can't stop the run keep calling the runs plays. Who gives a shit about being 50/50 run/pass. I'll take 90/10 run/pass when this offense and o-line can function like this.

The only call I had a problem with is when TA threw the interception. No need to air it out there when they were running at will. Great game plan all around.

I was impressed. He took advantage of our weapons and had Miami not knowing which way to turn.

I'll give Beck props for calling a pretty good game.

Tommy had them boys all fuckered up on them read options. He's sure growing up. Now to remember to take care of the ball at ALL times.

I don't know. Maybe Bo gave him a roster so he would know who was in the game.

Beck was seriously limited with what he could do with Tito.

Tommy Armstrong opens up the field.

It seems to be a whole new ball game without Martinez.

I mean, look how the offense backs up Armstrong.
If he gets hit someone is there to help him back up.

You didn't see that with Martinez

Tommy just executes the timing far better.

Tito could never grasp the timing part of the QB position. Of course Tito wasn't a QB anyway, he was a safety playing QB.

disagree with you there. yes he is a great runner. yes he has struggled with his completion % so far in his career.

i watched the kid in HS, he was essentially a pure passer with the ability to run

he might not be sam bradford, but there is a difference between a passing QB with the ability to run and a running QB who is asked to throw passes

Tommy is a passing QB that can run. just cause his numbers have struggled doesn't make him a 'non-passing' QB. And in all honesty when tommy is on he throws some of the sexiest deep balls in CFB

Tommy had to get used to the speed of the college game. In high school he could get away with putting a lot of air under the ball. He's had to adjust to this next level and he's coming along just fine for a 4th game sophomore. He'll get even better.

^^essentially what I'm saying

his numbers aren't great but that doesn't make him "not a passing QB". coming out of HS he was known as a passer WHO COULD run. as the game slows down his passing numbers should easily improve

whereas Tito was a runner who was asked to throw. hence why his numbers never improved all that much

his comp % did improve yes, but it was never clear that he became a better passer

TA does throw some really good passes, but so did all of the option operatives we have seen at Nebraska. TA is much more an option operative than a passing QB. TA is a better passer than Tito was and he's better at passing than a lot of QBs Nebraska has had over the years, but that still doesn't make him a passing QB.

Don't get me wrong, I really like TA and I truly believe he's a winner, and Nebraska can go a long ways with him at the QB position. A running team such as Nebraska doesn't need a passing QB, but just someone who is efficient enough to keep defenses honest, and TA is such a player.

I'll never understand why we handcuffed ourselves to tmart knowing he would never improve/be able to open the offense up with him.

i dont think tmart could have executed what TA did last night. then again beck finally called a great great game miami was scared to attack and was guessing alot.
