Realistically the odds of any team wanting cousins enough to trade picks and give him 25 mil a year are really slim.
I don't know what you're reasoning is. Brock's due for 16 mil this year. There's no way Cleveland would keep both Cousins and Brock on their roster. They'd be paying 40 mil between the 2 of them - not mentioning what they're paying Hoyer.
I'm not so sure. It is still a sellers market. Denver is ripe and just needs a QB. KC is highly regarded elsewhere in the league. Plus, if SF sees him on the market and other teams bidding, they might see their plan of just waiting until next year go up in smoke. Make it known we are entertaining offers and see what happens.Realistically the odds of any team wanting cousins enough to trade picks and give him 25 mil a year are really slim.

Holy shit
What that says to me is, Kirk feels like this team has disrespected him alot. Its expensive to sooths some ones ego once bruised.
Only question is what was he asking for a month ago. If it was still 30 million yikes.
Said it a year ago that Kirk doesn't want to be here, if confirmed this proves it!!
That's exactly what is says. That's KC's way of saying, "fuck you".What that says to me is, Kirk feels like this team has disrespected him alot. Its expensive to sooths some ones ego once bruised.
a year ago he was willing to sign for 20m ... but at this point it looks like he is setting a price too high for us to meet so he can walk or get traded
Ithink a month ago, if they had said.. ok we will match the Luck deal plus 2%, he would have signed it and kept rolling. The longer this drags out, the more it will cost to sign him long term. And if we havent already burned that bridge, at some point it will get ot a point where Kirk becomes a distraction.
MAybe we should just give Dallas a 3rd for Romo and be done with it.
At this point it's looking more and more like trading him and getting out of this whole mess is the best option. Problem is we won't get a fair return (at least I'm guessing). A real shit situation we got ourselves into here.
