It really depends on the status with KC. If KC can stay at a fair contract around 80 mil guaranteed, 5 years, 115 mil...3 firsts, 2 2nds.

If he isn't reasonable...high first, 2 2nds.

If we can't get that...get him hurt and suck it up.

Either sign him long-term now, or trade him now. Every day they wait, they piss off everyone involved and lose trade value. San Fran and Cleveland find other options in the meanwhile. Just take a 2nd rounder this year (SF and Cleve both have high 2nds) and a 1st rounder next year, and make this go away. Nobody in their right mind wants a lame duck Cousins playing here next season.

I don't know what you're reasoning is. Brock's due for 16 mil this year. There's no way Cleveland would keep both Cousins and Brock on their roster. They'd be paying 40 mil between the 2 of them - not mentioning what they're paying Hoyer.

Hoyers in SF. And they have a TON of cap space. They could definitely pay both. I don't think theyll do it cuz I don't think they want cousins but if they did brock wouldn't stop them.

Fine, you could be right, but the point remains that the longer the Skins wait, the more likely it is that teams who might now be targets for Cousins will not be very quickly.
