While the average fan sees a bad Bears team, the people in the know (coaches) see a really talented young team about to break out. As we replace this coaching staff there will be many many top coaching options available. As a Bear fan I can tell you that no one wanted to coach here in the past. But good drafting the last 3 drafts has loaded this team with young talent. So is this the top job for coaches heading into the 18 season? I think it is.

Who do you consider to be top coaching options?

The Bears are actually a better team than they were last year. I think they have the talent to contend for at least a wild card spot here in the next few years. Trubisky will get better, Howard and Cohen are probably one of the best RB/WR dual threats in the NFC, even though Cohen has struggled 3 out of the last 4 weeks. Need some better targets for Trubisky in the future. Maybe the Bears should look at WR and O-line for the draft over the next 2 years. But the core is there. Defense is decent, young QB and RBs with tons of potential. The receivers with the highest catch percentage aren't even receivers. Adam Shaheen (88.9%) and Tarik Cohen (71.4%). I think the future is actually bright in Chicago but the OC needs to go. The two years with Loggains, the offense was 28th last year and are currently 29th. All that talent and they are practically dead last in the league.

I agree on the talent. WR corps could use some work though, but could be solved with a top draft pick.

The nucleus sotospeak is set. Trubisky has more than enough talent to succeed. O-line is allowing the 13th-most sacks in the league, but is 8th best in rushing yards per game. I'd say thats close to par for the course. Fairly young group with room to grow (average age is 27.5). Defense is solid. Floyd's knee injury was a tough loss, but he's still very young and will be back next season.

With the right coach this team could be set to compete for the division crown for years to come.

Nice running game, some young talent on defense

But like everyone knew, besides seemingly the Bears, Mitch Trubinsky is awful, and was the worst pick of the 2017 NFL draft

I think there's a good chance Trubs could be 2018's Goff.

4 TD's and 4 picks in 7 games started

Not so good

Because stats tell the whole story, right dirt? Have you even watched the Bears this year? Or are you just trolling because the Giants suck a bag of sweaty bawls?

Im trolling? The Bears wins this season have come on the shoulders of solid defensive efforts

Trubinsky's numbers and performances have been pretty brutal

In his defense, its the worst WR corps in the history of the NFL

But there is no way with a straight face you could sit there and tell me 'Yeah, happy we made that pick'

Not yet anyway
