I knew Whyte was junk after one preseason game. The genius's RB evaluation skills has no equal.

Surprised that Whyte got waived, but Patterson takes whatever snaps he'd potentially get on game day. Hopefully he makes it to the practice squad.

The LB thing confuses me as well. Have Woods and/or Pierre-Louis even been active?

With as thin as the Bears are right now at WR and DL, why in the hell do the Bears have 11 roster spots tied up at ILB and TE?

Sowell is just about worthless as a tight end. Why we'd take a quality swing tackle and turn him into a 4th string tight end is beyond me.

Sowell was a reserve and fringe roster guy as a tackle. He started 3 games during his tenure with the Bears. We brought in guys we liked more than him, I believe. We gave him an option to either transition or be cut loose to remain a tackle.

I don't think he's still a Bear if he's still a tackle.

As we saw with McManis getting beat by Tate on 4th and goal last year vs Philly. An after thought reserve can often make or break your season. Not to mention... I care purely from the standpoint of "Why are we carrying 11 LB's/TE's when we currently have multiple DL injuries?" That was a thin position from a numbers standpoint BEFORE the injuries.
