Fire Rivera and Bench Wentz won against a shitty team
How in the world have the Bears won 2 games?

I wonder when Wentz gets benched? I still think Rivera puts on his coach hat and has him start all 17 games.

I will tell you how...both wins came with a lot of help from the other team.

The Bears more than JAX obviously. The Bears not going for the FG in the 1st half simply makes no sense. Point were going to come at a premium. If they kick the FG there, then the end of the game comes down to another chip shot.

JAX lost their minds on a couple of play calls as well.

The only joy I have in this game is Robinson coming back and scoring the only TD. Both teams were bad.

If Slye makes his FG that doesn't matter .... the entire game was mostly fuckups by both teams.

I don't think Justin Fields will be in the league in 3 years.

Carson Wentz completed 12-of-22 passes for 99 yards in the Commanders' 12-7, Week 6 win over the Bears.

You may have thought there was no way a game could be worse than Colts/Broncos. You would be wrong. In an iconic Thursday Night Football slopfest improving on last week's Russell Wilson/Matt Ryan anti-duel in every way, Wentz generated under 100 yards of net offense and got the "quarterback win" anyways. Unable to hit even simple throws while dealing with injuries to both his throwing hand and right ankle, Wentz's best play was handing the ball off to Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson, especially after halftime. The only time Wentz came close to making a big play in the passing game, Curtis Samuel dropped a gift-wrapped 40-yard touchdown late in the second quarter. It was that kind of night. It's also been that kind of year for Wentz, though this was the first time he finished below 170 yards passing. He has now failed to exceed 211 in three of his past four starts, hollowing out his streamer argument just as quickly as it began. The Packers are on deck for a Week 7 "home" date, though Green Bay fans will take over FedEx Field.

Damn this win confirmed all my fears. We suck. Rivera didn't leave points on the field tonight and made all the right clock and point decisions.

JDR's defense has gotten better every week for a month now.

Props to Wentz for that block on Smith but he was awful tonight. Not gonna lie, midway through the third quarter I wondered if Heinicke would move this team down the field better than Wentz. At the moment I feel he would have. He would have provided a spark but eventually the offense would bog down under him as well.

Robinson is a feel good story but AG is moving the chains. Nice to have a big bruiser back there, but my fear was they would forget about AG. McKissic had some important runs.

I made it a point to watch Lucas. He was great. Larsen is an NFL center. Norwell wasn't good, but had his best game as a Skin, especially in the run game. I'll be confused if they put Cosmi back in at RT. I don't see how you put Lucas back on the bench.

Samuel had two big drops. Dyami obviously isn't healthy. Sims is solid. Cole Turner is a tell, but showed that he can find space and is a hands catcher.

Sweat with another good game. I think they are gonna have to franchise Payne. Allen is playing great too. The #1 picks are rounding into shape. Just waiting on Chase.

BSJ was up and down tonight, but at no point did I say "we could use Jackson III tonight." Curl is a baller.

Slye almost lost us the game. I do hope that we stick with him.

Season on life support, but the machine is beeping.

That said we are a dropped pass from Etienne and a muffed punt from the Bears away from being 0-6.

Yeah, he's a shitty QB. He was especially terrible in goal to go situations tonight. I'm sure its happened before but I can't recall seeing a QB hit a DL in the head who was actually decently blocked and not jumping or having his arms raised in an attempt to block a pass. Over throwing a wide open TE on their 2nd trip down there. And thankfully not looking to his left at the end of the game on his last pass of the game cuz the RB was wide open.

Ron Rivera went off last night.....LOL.

But, I actually respect him for it. Stood up for his players and QB.

I am going to give him one out, he is new in the offense. TH should be able to run the offense better because of his time in the offense. At this point I do not think either one is the answer.

He seems to check down or throw deep. Accuracy on intermediate routes is poor. Last night he missed a few short throws. He does not go to receiver he should go to on most plays. Logan Paulsen has said the same thing.

It is year 5 and they have yet to find anyone as good as Cousins was ... no matter what you think of Cousins. No clue if he is back for year six. I was actually hoping the Bears scored late to keep Washington in a high pick position. Of course the other side of the coin is does it matter who Washington brings in. 23 years says "nope, not at all."

LBers have played very well the past few games. The strength of the DLine is the tackles although Sweat has played pretty well the last two games. If you are going to play a 42 your CBs need to be able to set the edge and at least turn the play back into the middle of the field.

I like Robinson a lot, I don't think he is a wasted pick but they can't forget Gibson. He is the potential HR hitter.

I just looked at the schedule again, maybe 5 wins ....

Last night was embarrassing. RR can get mad all he wants this team along with HIS QB are not even fun to watch. We lose again if the punt isn't muffed, Fields is any better than he was or Mooney catches the goal line pass first go around. How can anyone defend Wentz, Rivera or the product we are watching.
Get a real coach and GM in here at seasons end.

just saw the highlights. will watch the game tonight on nfl replay. It was ugly. In all fairness if Samuel makes the TD catch and Slye hits the Fg in the 4th qtr its a different game. Cant blame RR for those two huge plays. Defense with a ton of missed tackled but they kept us in the game. Im happy RR got pissed last night as he should be if these rumors are false. As far as Wentz goes, I will evaluate tonight but how can you blame him for the Samuel drop and they did drive for the late 4th qtr FG. They said he hurt his hand.

I was expecting to blow the Bears out. It was a shity performance, but we got the W. Looks like there are still major issues with the oline.
