Its football, and any team "can" win, but its not likely if you ask me. If SF gets any kind of lead and starts pounding the ball, we're done.
No fucking way the Bills win. I just hope they can be competitive. No fucking way the Bears win. I just hope they can be competitive.

If the Bears win the turnover battle. they will win. SF is a good team but far from unbeatable. Bears are a good team too. 1 off week does not change my mind in any way. That was the belief before the Bears were exposed. First game of the season. Now everyone outside of Chicago knows how and the Bears really are.
No fucking way the Bears win.
The 2012 Bears defense that you speak of got manhandled 32-7 by virtually the same 49ers team.
The only glimmer of hope the 2014 Bears team has this time around is that the Niners don't have Bowman and Aldon Smith, two key Pro Bowlers on that defense.
The only??? How about we know what's comming this time around. We had no clue and no preparations for their running QB last time around. He only started because of a injury to Smith. This time we can game plan for him. That is huge.
You're crazy noon. We couldn't even beat the bears at home. What makes you think we can beat a team with a much better defense, a much better offense, and in a town where we haven't even been able to keep games close? I fully expect cutler to make more boneheaded plays and think we will get blown out.
Santa C crowd seemed more subdued. We'll find out.
I wish ya the best, but I can't see any way (yeah, yeah.....it's POSSIBLE) the Bears can match up talent wise with SF. If this game were in ChiTown in December, I'd give 'em a shot at an upset, but week 2 in SF?...Nah.
Probability is on your side, but SF has its issues. Bears are a team that can exploit them, will they? That's the question.
If you look deeper at the SF/Dallas game the turn overs really were the key, Dallas was having their way with us before Romo made some horrible decisions, DeMarco Murray was gaining huge chunks of yardage and the Boys were moving the ball relatively easy down the field. SF rarely puts 8 in the box as our coordinator has a lot of trust in the front 7 and will usually have both Safety's playing deeper. This might change on Sunday night but I wouldn't count on it unless the Bears just start to run wild on us.
I think Dallas has a more solid O Line then Chicago so I think we will be able to pressure Cutler a bit more then Romo, Matt Forte will be the key in this one I think if he has a huge night and Cutler can protect the ball It will be a really tight game that could come down to a FG or whoever has final possession.
I agree, our strength has always been the LB Corp, which with Smith and Bowman out has gone from best in the NFL to what I would say is an ok unit.

I don't think the Bears talent on defense will be able to stop the read option and Colin Kaepernick even if they're more prepared mentally. Going out there on the field and executing against this offense is much different than just being prepared for it. That's the reason why I said the only hope the Bears have is to control the game on the ground offensively by attacking the Niners defense with a heavy dose of Matt Forte and the short passing game. JMHO.

With those two guys out, it might be easier for the Bears to play ball control and keep the Niners offense off the field and score some points in the process. Matt Forte running the ball and the short passing game will be key, IMO.
I don't see the Bears defense causing any turnovers, so the Bears offense has to play mistake-free football to give themselves a chance to win. Again, all of this is highly unlikely, but it's really the only scenario where I see the Bears winning this game.

It's hard to disagree with any of this. I would just add being disciplined on the edge defensively... try to keep Kaepernick from getting outside the hashmarks... limit bad decisions on offense (which running and a commitment to a short passing game as you mentioned would do)... and hopefully find a mistake or two that we can take advantage of on either side of the ball.
I'd also be wary of looking at the success of Demarco Murray last week on the ground as a road map for us... that game was long lost by halftime. I'm sure SF would have puckered up some against the run if the game wasn't already in hand.
