Sorry for not being heartless with this post...

Feel terrible today. Returning the Boston Terrier I've had with me for the past couple days (Oregon Boston Terrier Rescue).

Thought I was ready for another dog having lost mine last February... but I'm not. Not the dog's fault, he's a great little guy. Knew this might not lead to permanent adoption from the jump, but I was hoping for the best.

The rescue will find him a new home in a matter of days, and since he's only been with me since Sunday night it's not as though there's a major bond... but I still feel terrible about it.

This particular dog needs to be in a house with kids, I think, and certainly a fenced-in back yard. He's completely different from my last dog and I'm simply not set-up for him idealy. It really is what's best for him. Doesn't make me feel any better, though.

If I'd have got him from a kill shelter (for instance) there's no way I'd be taking him back... but that's not the case. Again, I still feel like shit. But I hope the rest of you have a great evening.
