2011 TCU vs Wis they had a contract to take eligible nonBCS team if they were eligible if it came up within a certain time frame and it did.

more valid though is 2005 Texas vs Michigan despite an eligible Cal team

Well in both of those years the Rose was required to take someone else...

I don't think the Rose has ever taken a non B1G/ non PAC team if it had the choice...

Although I'm not sure what led to the 2005 selection...
