Bills got a second interview with Arthur Blank.
Well, the Cowboys decided to keep McCarthy and the Eagle decided to keep Siriani. Could that be because Bill is looking more seriously at having total control in Atlanta rather than just coaching control anywhere else? PLUS.....

NFC South will be much easier to pick up wins against NO, TB, and CAR than in the NFC East. Falcons need someone to shore up the defense more than the offense.

Watch for an announcement this afternoon.

Yeah made me wonder which came first, Bill's probable unavailability leading Dallas and Philly to stick with what they've got or did their decisions lead Bill to accept the second interview...?

Arthur Blank has painted himself into a corner.

He named Rich McKay the CEO of the Atlanta Falcons last January. Bill Belichick has openly stated that McKay, Chairman of the NFL Competition Committee, is a brainless fuck who knows nothing about the game of football.

If Blank wants BB as his next head coach, he might have to fire McKay or keep him out of all football operation and decisions.

OR

Hire someone else to coach the Falcons.

Then again, BB has had surprisingly little interest from other teams and has interviewed with just the Falcons..

Makes one wonder if BB has been seen in the same light elsewhere as he was in New England??

What took down the GOAT coach?
The great coax suddenly couldn’t?
It appears BB finally got old..
Happens to all of us. He got to the point he had to do ever. He could not delegate. Could not trust anybody’s opinion. Had to be in charge of every detail.

We are now transitioning to a club as a team.
Lots of bright minds. I am very happy for this.
We might make mistakes along the way but like the earl days of BB, we have plenty of head working on the issues. Welcome to the ne Patriots!

Isn't that why he was disliked in Cleveland?

As he aged he became more and more stubborn. Great D mind, but became obsessed with the power thing. Never understood that. Power for power’s sake sucks. You only need some power, not all the power.

It's more having total control. As he aged, he shrunk the staffs. The more people you have doing more defined work, the less control you have is the way BB saw things. An example would be having an O-Line coach who had three assistants for OT, OG and C. If they each had an assistant you can see how far away it can get:

HC=OC=OL=OT=OT Asst

BB wanted HC=OC=OL end of story.

Remember what he said, "Less people with more responsibilities." And of course, less cost that can be blamed on the owner.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank said Bill Belichick never asked “for full control of personnel or anything else in the building” during their interview.
In addition to clearing the air of those rumors, Blank also said Belichick was never offered the Falcons’ head coaching job after it was previously reported by Boomer Esiason earlier in the week. Belichick remains available for any team to sign, and was last reported to be on the Eagles’ radar, although nothing has materialized since that report.

IF, big if...............The Cowboys start off shaky, Jerry Jones publicly said "I would have no problem at all working with Bill Belichick. I would welcome the opportunity to work with him." If that's not a warning to McCarthy, nothing is.

Bill goes to Dallas...they win two in a row.

First team to 7, Bill retires with the most wins and only coach to win a SB with two teams/both conferences.
