Baylor Jumps Ohio St in AP Poll

Why?

Ohio State's win vs Wisconsin trumps anything Baylor has done all season long. If they beat Okie St, then I'll tip my cap to them.

OU and Wisconsin are basically the same thing this year.

In the end, it really doesn't matter. Ohio State isn't gonna pass either Bama or FSU and neither will Baylor. 3rd, 4th, 5th I don't care. Heading to the Rose Bowl and hopefully winning are good things to look forward to.

Combination of things.

1. they have emphasized speed in recruiting. All their WRs are sub 4.4 guys.

2. scheme: they spread the field all the way outside the numbers on both sides and run deep routes all day long. with their speed, it presents a challenge to teams who don't have the athletes to match up.

3. schedule: they have played the 85th ranked schedule, so they have had the athlete advantage in nearly every game.

4. their coach is very good

Yeah, based on my opinion. Wisconsin should have 1 loss all year, but they got absolutely screwed in the desert vs ASU.

OU has had their doors absolutely blown off 2x this year, and will probably get them blown off a 3rd time when Okie state squares off vs them. Their ranking is a joke.

The AP poll has a ton of meaning.

It is the ranking that is used for many television broadcasts which directly influences the minds of Harris Voters.

It doesn't have a direct component, but it has infinite value in influencing the value of wins for the voters that do.....

Baylor still has a weaker SOS. Nothing justify's Baylor being ahead of tOSU besides their offense putting up pretty numbers.

Sagarin as been under fire for changing his algorithm a couple of times during the season. His poll should be ejected and not used until he gets it set firmly.
